    Wet burrito

I ordered a wet burrito with ground beef. It was literally this small and only had ground beef inside, nothing else. I took two bites, couldn't eat any more. Will not be returning.

Okay. The grilled veggie burrito, hands down, is so, so, so good. It comes with a side of rice (which I'm not a fan of), so I substitute refried beans - delicious. Their quesadillas are also good. In the winter months, you get a cup of jalepeno soup, which is delicious, included with your meal. The food is authentic Mexican, inexpensive, and worth your time. My boyfriend and his family go two to three times per month.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've been to. The meat as wonderfully flavored and it's hard to choose a bad dish. My favorites include their chili rellenos (yes, they use poblanos!) and their tacos. My wife loves their chimichangas and our kids (5 & 8) love their meal options but especially their chips and salsa! So bring the whole family. They also have nice lunch specials and I found and their all you care to eat tacos for Sunday lunch a perfect option after church! And for those of us that like adult drinks their drink specials are some of the best in town! Also text "ELSOL" to 36000 to get on their text club for addition discounts and specials!

Their amazing cheese dip with fresh chips. Half eating of course

It's a lovely place for a restaurant and we've been able to find comfortable seating for a large group. We visited on Black Friday and had a nice experience! Our server was attentive and fast, drinks were handled very well with everyone getting different coffees, teas, etc. and we were all ordered with the food out within 15 minutes. One dish was delayed but the rest came out on time. The food is pretty standard for an American brunch spot- it's 4/5 stars when it comes to seasoning/quality in my opinion, and comes at a higher price point- but I think you're paying for the view which makes sense! The windows over the water are beautiful and the decor is cozy and comfortable. So all in all, this is a great choice of a spot for a date night or family meal. The menu has all of your standard brunch options- a Benedict, pancakes, several omelettes, a classic breakfast, a hash, etc. I ordered the garden omelette and it left a little to be desired- potatoes weren't all the way cooked/ sat in a lot of oil, eggs were well cooked but the veggies were cut in large chunks/on the more raw side. This is what I meant about being 4/5 stars. Large portion sizes though, and something for everyone on the menu. The pizzas and sandwiches always look really good! And there's an extensive drink menu as well as a holiday drink menu. I imagine this place would be amazing in the summer when Benton Harbor comes alive but it's charming in the colder months as well. We will keep coming back when we're in town visiting family!

The tavern had a nice charm for a hotel restaurant with views of the water and nice lake themed our server was super friendly and happy to recommend beers and food both.

The typical parking lot was fenced off so we had to utilize the street parking nearby. We were told to choose a seat and they'd be right with us. They only opened at 11am, at by the time we got there around 12:30 it was starting to fill up a bit already. My husband got the "in a van down by the river" cocktail, which I tasted, and we both agreed was delicious. For our appetizer, which we had never ordered one before from this establishment, we got the Wisconsin cheese curds. The sauce it came with reminds me of a good sauce for onion rings and was just as amazing on the cheese curds (it was called Sunny ranch I believe). We both got our usual entrees, my husband ordered a double smash burger and I got the atomic punk sandwich, both of which came with fries. My husband devoured his food, while my anxiety basically required me to wait until we got home to eat. I would definitely recommend stopping by The Brick House and grabbing a bite to eat. They have never disappointed us or the people we've sent their way.
