LA Weekly, I truly expected you to be more in-line with other alternative newsweekly publications…read more Instead, you seem rather superficial, just like so much other fluff in this city of angles (yes, angles). My expectations for pseudo-investigative journalism and political pieces flanked by editorials filled with foaming-at-the-mouth liberalism were so high. The Austin Chronicle puts you to shame in these departments. I'll give credit where credit is due, though. Thank you for a rather thorough concert calendar. And thank you for being free and plentiful, as well, because you'll come in handy the next time I have to move and need to wrap my dishes again.

As a resident of West Hollywood, I've read LA Weekly for decades. But 6 months ago, all of the…read moreplaces I would get it from every week, just stopped carrying it. I contacted them and was offered 3 other locations. But now, they've disappeared from those locations, as well. I've tried contacting them by phone and via their website. But repeatedly, no one answers the phone, and they repeatedly never respond to voicemail messages. They used to, but not anymore. I know they were sold again recently, so it's starting to appear that they (like other print publications) may have stopped their printed editions in favor of just being made available online. All said, they've always had GREAT content, but WHEN or IF you can pick up a copy locally anymore. And at least either answer your phone or respond to inquiries because we've started to lose interest.

Nothing seems to have been updated since 2010 so I have no idea why it's still coming up as the FIRST result in a google search for "la health". I can't believe it. I'm stunned that their downloadable media kit looks fully funtional but when you call their number (323-297-4001) it's a completely different business who claims to get tons of calls for LA Health. So wrong!

DO NOT COME HERE. TLDR, owner writes his own prices onto…read morethe magazines and tries to white out the printed price. Shady!!! My friend and I came here last night to get magazines for a vision board and while grabbing the magazines, I noticed all the prices were missing. At first, I didn't pay too much attention until I came across one that had a price written over ($8.99) what was white out. Confused, I scratched it off and noticed the printed price of $7.99. I went to the other magazines I grabbed and noticed the other ones had white out over the prices too. I went up to the guy working and confronted him about the pricing. He could not even look me in the eye or provide a good excuse as to why he would be upcharging magazines. He said he can give me a discount on all the magazines. For the originally priced magazine, the register marked it as $9 something before taxes, he offered some slight discount. I said no. This isn't right. No one upcharges MAGAZINES. I had maybe 5-6 magazines in my hand. Easily $60 worth of business he just lost. Don't come here. Go to the nice lady who owns the newsstand at the farmers market at the Grove. She was so sweet and kind.

It is an unsolicited liberal newspaper that's been thrown onto everyone's driveway in the area for years on end, free of charge. Nobody I know actually reads this paper. It goes directly into the trash, recycling, gets used as packing, and is used as a fire starter. Today, August 6th, 2026, this paper was thrown onto my driveway where my $200K vehicle was temporarily parked. The paint job alone on this car is about $15K. The delivery person threw the paper right at my car. This dirty paper hit my car! And, I've got it on film! From the looks of it, it could have been purposely thrown to hit my car...who really knows? This is something that should not have happened! So, Grunion Gazette, if this had caused damage to my paint or some other damage to my car, are you going to cover the cost of the damages and repairs? Your delivery people are rude and careless. I NEVER asked for this paper! It should not have been thrown onto my car or onto my property! UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
