2 pupusas and a side order of chips and salsa
    Haylea W.

Very good pupusas! I will be back just for those. They were also hot and fresh when I picked them up. Can't beat the price either! I got 2 pupusas and a side order of chips and salsa and it was 6$. Great deal!!

Okay so i don't just throw around 4 star reviews. Therefore, you know when a restaurant gets one-they absolutely earned it. And new eaterie, El Rinconcito, earned these stars. Authentic. Flavor-filled. Fresh. Grandma is in the kitchen. Down home, Salvadoran/Mexican deliciousness. Papusas and tacos are priced right at $1.50. The asada taco was filled with small pieces of steak, topped with cilantro and white onions and served with lime. Ok but i wouldn't return for the tacos. I WILL absolutely return for the papusas. Hot off the griddle, the tender masa dough us slightly crisp on the outside and stuffed with your filling. In my case, beans, pork and lots of cheese. Its magical! It has a certain umaminess. And when you pair it with the tanginess of the curtido (the vinegary cabbage slaw) and the heat of the chunky tomato salsa...mmmmm...A-MAY-ZING! And i saw fried fish that looked great. A seafood soup that was filled with all kinds of oceanic goodness. Menudo. You name it, it came out the kitchen looking awesome. You won't visit El Rinconcito for the atmosphere. But you will visit it for friendly, attentive and informative service. You will definitely return for the papusas. And you will tell others because there aren't many places in Fort Wayne that transport your mind and your taste buds to other countries. Yet, I promise you that El Rinconcito will!

Our entire order was wrong. Most importantly, we made two orders of the same thing aNd they decided we didn't need two orders cause the one waS big. Secondly, here's a pphoto of the sshrimp ceviche... half over done, half no donee at ally yes its all shrimp!

After going here for the second time yesterday, I can without question tell you this is some of the best food in Fort Wayne. This little restaurant has amazing pupusas wonderful sandwiches and salsa that is out of this world. This menu is for the most part an ala carte menu. Some dinner options are available but I would suggest an array of pupusas and sandwiches and chips and salsa very affordable. The only negative is that there is a parking issue because you have to park somewhere on Wells Street or an off Street. Don't let that stop you eat here you won't regret it.

Loroco pupusas are amazing, plus a whole jar of slaw for the table. Highly recommend.

Great pupusas. Great prices. Vegetarian options are equally awesome (queso and loroco really tasty). Wait staff very friendly.

Restaurante Juan Camaney - Rice with nopales and beans

    Restaurante Juan Camaney

This place looks like an abandoned building so drive around back to find the door…read more No menu and waitress only spoke Spanish but the food was the bomb. Seriously. I eat all over the country and this is just real, real, real. The Mexican rice has nopales chopped up in it. You can taste the lard in the beans (rich and wonderful, not greasy). Steak tacos just as they should be... lightly seasoned, in corn tortillas, packed with meat. Can't believe my luck finding this place.

I've lived in various parts of Mexico off and on for almost half of my life. I'm fat. My physique…read morehas been shaped by a multitude of amazing dishes and a plethora of calories from across the globe, but I hate a particular fondness for Mexican food. When I went to this restaurant, I knew right away I had found a treasure. Hidden deep on the west side of south bend, a few blocks off of western avenue, this restaurant is one you've got to set out to find. When you park and walk inside, the vibe goes from rustbelt west side hood, to familiar Mexican / Salvadoran charm. Clean tables fill two large dining areas and a cash register, just in front of the kitchen, is about all you see to realize you're in an actual restaurant. The servers are quick and attentive (and cute!) and when I ate there, rather than being handed a menu, I was told "here's what we've got.." which is typical of many of the more traditional Comida Corrida spots in Mexico. I ordered pozole and it was the best I've had in years. It came piping hot with all of the sides. My little kid got a simple quesadilla and it was enormous. As we ate a man set up a speaker and began singing karaoke style in Spanish and taking requests from the various tables. I ate on a Sunday and it was packed. I was the only gringo in sight. I could go on and on...but I'm gonna go try one of their pupusas to see how they fare. Eat here. It is amazing.
