We ordered this for take out with Door Dash and I wasn't really sure what to expect. I have posted pics but since it's take out, the photos are not as good as the pics other people posted. But everything was wonderful! Love the different flavors. I got the Chile poblano and was expecting just cheese inside, but this came with a mix of meat, veggies, and cheese. I was a little disappointed to see this since I was expecting just cheese only, but it was a wonderful surprise and a totally different flavor than what I was expecting. Food was excellent and fresh. I called to ask about some ingredients since I have some food allergies and the lady was so kind and helpful to make sure if it had any ingredients I was allergic too. I will definitely be back to try new things here!

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but food was very authentic!!! Wasn't the cleanest looking place inside, but the service was great!

Chips and salsa, revuelta pupusa, loco flower pupusa, cabbage slaw and red sauce (traditional accompaniments).

I walked over here with a hankering for pupusas. Revuelta pupusas are usually my favorite; this one was good, but the loco flower was better. Either way, my craving was fulfilled, and it got treated with a banana smoothie, too! It was yummy. I ate in a booth watching Telemundo soap operas and munched on red, green, and white tortilla chips in a chunky yet watery self serve carafe of super garlicky salsa. The service was exactly as expected from this hole in the wall of deliciousness. Didn't come here for customer service. I'll be back. I'm a sucker for El Salvadorian food. Plus I had chips and salsa, a smoothie and 2 pupusas (I ate half of each so I have leftovers), and with tax and tip I got out for about $8 (more than 20% tip).

One of our favorite places for authentic Latino food. Consistently deliver the tastes of Central America.

Pupusa with curtido (cabbage slaw)... delicious!

This review is based on 4-5 visits over 2015-16. What a wonderful surprise this place is...! The tamales are good. The tacos are fine: meat, cilantro, etc. The pupusas are really special though. Various types are available, and the cabbage slaw is fresh and delicious. Try a bean or cheese one as an appetizer if you're new to Salvadoran food. And if you want to treat yourself, ask about the seafood soup. It's about $15 (one of the priciest things on the menu) and comes in a bowl the size of a bucket, filled with mussels and shrimp and veggies and other treats. The crab is imitation, but it's still made of fish, so no stars deducted... I uploaded a photo. It was incredible. Final comment, on service -- the same waitress has been there every time we've visited. She is so kind and hardworking. She'll patiently answer any question you ask. With a smile. She is the kind of person who totally deserves a huge tip. (So if anybody rich is reading this, go do your thing...! If not, no worries; we'll keep tipping her +30% every time, because she totally earns it.) If you're bored with typical chain restaurants and want to support a great local business, brave the gas station parking lot and try this place.

What an amazing little place. The best pupusas in town. If you're uncertain on what to get, get the "Traditional breakfast" (pic attached) you will not be disappointed!

This place looks like an abandoned building so drive around back to find the door…read more No menu and waitress only spoke Spanish but the food was the bomb. Seriously. I eat all over the country and this is just real, real, real. The Mexican rice has nopales chopped up in it. You can taste the lard in the beans (rich and wonderful, not greasy). Steak tacos just as they should be... lightly seasoned, in corn tortillas, packed with meat. Can't believe my luck finding this place.

My physique…read morehas been shaped by a multitude of amazing dishes and a plethora of calories from across the globe, but I hate a particular fondness for Mexican food. When I went to this restaurant, I knew right away I had found a treasure. Hidden deep on the west side of south bend, a few blocks off of western avenue, this restaurant is one you've got to set out to find. When you park and walk inside, the vibe goes from rustbelt west side hood, to familiar Mexican / Salvadoran charm. Clean tables fill two large dining areas and a cash register, just in front of the kitchen, is about all you see to realize you're in an actual restaurant. The servers are quick and attentive (and cute!) and when I ate there, rather than being handed a menu, I was told "here's what we've got.." which is typical of many of the more traditional Comida Corrida spots in Mexico. I ordered pozole and it was the best I've had in years. It came piping hot with all of the sides. My little kid got a simple quesadilla and it was enormous. As we ate a man set up a speaker and began singing karaoke style in Spanish and taking requests from the various tables. I ate on a Sunday and it was packed. I was the only gringo in sight. I could go on and on...but I'm gonna go try one of their pupusas to see how they fare. Eat here. It is amazing.
