I have not visited in such a long time now that I live in Bakersfield, but growing up in Delano I visited frequently. I recently visited and the place looks the same for the past 30yrs. There has been some updates for sure like the electronic menus and their fancy cc machines, but other than that it definitely looks the same. They have the bar still setup the same on the other side and it doesn't look too different either. I did notice that they have a lot more stuff on their menu from whenever the last time it was that I visited. Pizza is super cheesy and I can definitely appreciate that. I read a lot of other reviews and saw a lot of negative reviews for the chili verde pizza crust and I think they purposely make it thick like that to hold up the sauce. I also want readers to know that LR's is the ORIGINAL for the chili verde pizza. Our "other" local favorite pizza place is super good too, but is NOT the original! ;-)

The avocado needed about one more day to be fully ripe, but it wasn't a problem. The fries were a little too salty. The ketchup saved it though. This burger was definitely restaurant quality, but not for the price. I ended up paying about $22 for it. I guess that's somewhat reasonable for a pound of meat, but I don't feel like it was worth $22. There are times where I'll get a drive in burger for $16, and I'll feel it's worth it! This just didn't feel worth it. I can't really put my finger on it. Regardless, it was delicious. To touch on the atmosphere it's a Friday night and there are quite a bit of people here. I'm guessing this is the spot for the Delano night life crowd. There is a bald black guy telling some semi-funny jokes, the lighting is dim in the bar area, and everyone is socializing. I then ordered for her Titos and cranberry. Bartender said they were out of titos and she settled for Grey goose and cranberry. It was measured properly and very red, so can't complain but come on, you're going to charge us for Grey goose since you're out of titos but can't give it an extra splash?
