Approx $54 w/tax The hotel has a homey feel from the time you walk in the front door all the way to your room. The rooms feel very clean. Especially the beds, I hardly ever sleep under the blankets at hotel a because they normally look/feel/smell weird/gross, but I did not feel that way here. Showers had good pressure and heat however there was no shampoo or conditioner just two small hand soap bars. Only downfall I would say. Plenty of towels and rags. Also has a decent sized flat screen TV. Rooms feel kind of old school, vintage. There's a sitting area downstairs with complimentary coffee. There is also a small porch with chairs as well. If we are in the area would definitely be willing to stay here again.

The rooms are huge and well appointed, with the sitting area (I think that's standard..?). Though the sofa and chair were overly firm, the beds were plumb cozy with nice linens. Everything seems freshly remodeled, which is to say it was all clean, unstained, and un-tattered. Toiletries were simple but nice, decor was updated, and staff were lovely. The night clark even offered up a late checkout unprompted when we showed up around midnight! Breakfast, as others have mentioned, certainly exceeds expectations. Not the best I've ever had, but at this hotel's price point ($87 all told on Expedia), they've achieved champion status with the sausage, bacon, and hash browns, and the cooked-to-order eggs/burrito station (apparently they have biscuits and gravy too on alternating days!). They use fresh eggs too! Not that prepackaged nonsense. Another highlight was the fact that midnight parking was available right outside the hotel entrance, not halfway around the building like a lot of other hotels inevitably require. I usually don't stop halfway between Albuquerque and Wichita, but the Guymon Best Western has certainly made the idea more compelling. It's my newly established go-to.

I'd like to offer a bit of advice as far as the air con. Wonder why older women are bitchy on business trips and vacations? These damn hotel rooms don't have an air conditioner that stays on all night. I got four hours of sleep because I had it cranked down to 69. It was fabulous and I fell asleep with my sheet on. It kicks off for 20 or 30 mins and I wake up hot and sweaty waiting for the dang thing to kick back on. Repeat this 30 times and you have an agitated, sleep-starved woman. Can IHG not recognize that if they'd allow even just a constant fan, we'd still get air circulation and white noise and probably only need the ac at 71 or 72 and get much better sleep? I will repeat a previous reviewer's warning that every other business in town closes early, so bring your dinner, drinks, etc. When we rolled into town at 8:00 on a Saturday night the restaurant and grocery were closed. We would definitely stay here again.
