There is another location about 3-5 minutes off Western that is in a safer location. However, that location off Western does not have a drive thru. I do not like the service at this location because I tried asking for help with the app to use the rewards for the Sunday meal special, but the employee was saying he could not help and his manager was busy. I was not trying to get help with my password on the app, but that the app was giving me an error. Without any assistance with the app, then I could not order my meal. I would like to file a complaint regarding an employee named Liz at El Pollo Loco. I arrived at the restaurant a little before 2:00 p.m. to pick up a mobile order for two salads that I had placed in advance. When I entered, I waited in line to let the cashier know I was there for my pickup. She appeared overwhelmed and confused, with two completed orders on the counter that she didn't seem to know who they belonged to. Another customer approached and explained that he had already been waiting for quite some time and that one of those orders was his. Once I had the chance to speak, I told her I was there to pick up my order. She responded by saying it was going to be a while. I understood that restaurants can get busy, and having worked in food service myself, I know how stressful it can be. I simply replied, "Okay, no worries," and patiently waited. As time passed, I noticed that every customer who arrived after me received their food before I did. I remained standing in front of the register the entire time, clearly visible to the staff, including Liz. After waiting nearly 40 minutes, I finally asked another employee, who was preparing the chicken, if he could check on my order. He immediately picked up a bag that had been sitting there since I arrived and handed it to me. Only after he gave me the bag did Liz walk over and say, "Oh yeah, your order... he's bagging it for you." It was obvious that my order had been overlooked, and if I hadn't asked another employee, I believe I would have continued waiting indefinitely. I understand that mistakes happen, especially during busy periods. However, this didn't feel like a simple mistake. I was standing in plain sight for nearly 40 minutes, and my order had apparently been ready or sitting there for much of that time without anyone checking on me or communicating with me. A quick acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way, but instead I was ignored. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I made every effort to be patient, understanding, and respectful, but I felt that my time and business were not valued. I hope this complaint is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve customer service and ensure other customers do not have a similar experience. read more

Today my friend ordered food for myself I really wanted to try the avocado tostada salad. The Salad was made in such a hurry. I believe this was already ordered and was left to sell right away. The first thing I paid attention was the avocado. Now I did take a couple pictures but this is the right picture to show my review. Not only did the avocado taste bad, but when I slide it in half there was white spots on it. I knew right away this was NO GOOD. I surely do not recommend this place. The chicken was very dry had no flavor. The lettuce looks no good at all had some black and grey spots. This complaint goes to the health department this is unsafe to eat. I hope this place is given a second chance, will like to try this place out later in the months, but for now is a No pass and not recomendable to anyone. Bottom line: Don't trust the drive-through. I went through a surprisingly empty drive-through and ordered a 3-pc meal with an extra packet of tortillas, a side of grated cheese, and 2 fire and 3 pico salsas. At the window, the woman handed me the food and said, "Your salsas are in the bag." I figured that they were so uncrowded, surely they would get my order right. Wrong. I got home to find no extra tortillas, no cheese, and only 1 mild and 1 avocado salsas, which I think is their standard hand-out. I paid for the extras but didn't get them. Disappointing experience after a long work week, Stopped by on a way to a friend's place. Like 4 cars in the drive thru but some how it took like 20 minutes to get my order. Pulled up and tried to order a family feast of legs and thighs and was told they don't have that available and only have mixed options. 5:15 on a Saturday evening and the drive thru was empty. That should have been my clue to leave, but I did my order on the app and already paid. I couldn't pick up in the restaurant as the doors were locked, so I got back in the car and into the drive through. It's a good thing it was empty or I would have been outraged. The chicken was relatively tasteless like they didn't marinate it enough, I got one piece that was skin and bones and looked like it should have been a thigh. The rice was chewy and dry like it sat there for hours and they didn't give me any salsa to make the meal bearable. $60 wasted. Last month I had to return my entire 16pc mixed chicken as it was burnt leather. I thought they would get better, but it's just one bad after another. Not sure I'm going to give them another try.
