Another terrible experience at the Apple Valley location, first while ordering another customer came back up to counter with their tray of food and told the employee Alicia G. that his tortillas were cold, she took 4 packs of tortillas off of his tray and put them back in the drawer with the other tortillas and gave him gave him four warm packs... those packs that the customer brought back up should've been thrown away they should not be given to another customer (big time health concern) Then I ordered my chicken to be extra well done. I waited there for 35 minutes and when I went up to the counter to ask about my order, the Cook seemed to have an attitude and just start throwing pieces together. Service was terrible tonight. I've never had to wait 35 minutes for well done chicken at any El Pollo Loco location. read more

Just started a new job up the hill and needed some good lunch. I am trying to stay a little on the healthy side and El Pollo Loco has good options. I found this site very close to my office. Everything was as expected, but what I wanna rave about is the young man who was Taking my order. Very respectful, very polite, and very accommodating. I ordered the Grande Chicken Avocado Bowl. HALF of the ingredients in the title were missing. Luckily there was attentive gentleman that brought me a single slice of avocado to my table. I'm pretty sure the manager or shift leader prepared my food, as if the ingredients were gonna come out of her paycheck. Not to mention I only got two shriveled pieces of chicken. Let me rephrase that. In my AVOCADO CHICKEN bowl, I only got 2 pieces of chicken and almost 0 avocado. It would be like if I ordered an Oreo milkshake, and instead of having cookies mixed into the shake, I got a single Oreo cookie as a garnish instead. It would be like if I ordered a coffee, but instead they gave me a cup of hot water with a single coffee bean as garnish. This location was always my favorite. All the staff were always so friendly and kind. . Until Just now when I asked for " mild salsa " because I can't eat spicy kind . First bite of my polo bowl & my mouth burned up ! I went back to the counter and gal that rang me up , was rude & told me they no longer carry ". Chicken is skin and bone. They pay by the pound and sell it by the peace. Got a pollo bowl. This thing needs to be called the rice bowl. Chicken is not expensive but when you fill a bowl up with rice and cover it with tomato and a couple of pieces of chicken.that is a sad way to scam your customers.
