Jamie, the first person to review this taco truck, completely nails the vibe at the El Pelon food truck. A great place to soak up the booze and indulge in some suspiciously great Mexican food. Like all good tacos trucks, El Peon is located near the entrance of a gas station. The delicious aromas coming from this truck will easily make you forget you were heading home to reheat leftovers in your air fryer. This happened to my wife and I. We stopped to get gas and the delicious aromas and the small line got our attention. We ordered two chorizo sopes, two carne tacos and one chorizo burrito. Everything was amazing, but my favorite was the chorizo burrito, which I actually ate for breakfast the next day. The sope could have used a little more meat but the pickled veggies and sauces made up for it. My wife gobbled up the tacos so nothing to report there, but they looked good! They also have quesadillas, tortas and all the meats including; pastor, carne asada and lengua which is cow tongue. No thanks on that! This food truck offers amazing Authentic mexican food and all the traditional fare I miss from the West Coast Mexican food scene. A must try!

Great food. A+ service. Michelada preparada was the best. Tacos and tortas were a hit. I'm from Arizona and this Taco truck hit the spot.

I will start with two caveats to be in the open. First, the food was free for me due to an event…read more This does not shade my reviews, but I do like to be transparent. Second, fried "tator tots", even homemade, are not my primary go to, but a solid 4+ for presentation, taste, and execution. I had the tradish (I read this as something with radishes at first. LOL) which is their traditional tater cake. What is a tater cake? I would say something like a tater tot (huge, not tots) or caked hashbrowns covered with goodness. What is the goodness? Varies by type, but the tradish is somewhat breakfasty (this would be smothered and covered with whatever Waffle House calls bacon and sour cream topped). Slap on a side of sauce and you are rolling. How did it taste? Bourbon bacon - nuff said. And a nice portion of bacon for the price. I recommend starting with the main pile and then adding in the sauce to get the contrast. I liked it plain, but it is fairly rich. Did I mention bourbon bacon? As for the other items, one of my friends had the Jud Spud (very southern with pulled pork and pimento cheese) and another grabbed a mac attack (mac & cheese made). I got small bite of each and found the Jud a bit more to my liking, as it was not quite as rich as the rest. They also had tachos (tater tot nachos), a sweet potato based meal, and a couple of sandwiches like Chicken & Bacon. Man, that bacon keeps coming back to this review. Must be a food group. I am curious about their sandwiches now. If I run into them again around town, I may have to indulge (they do fried pickles on the pulled pork? What?). You can find them on social media or streetfoodfinder.com.

I recently attended a Yelp event that featured food trucks, one of them being Tennessee Tatercakes…read more These tatercakes are delicious! They're much like the old school "potato cakes" you make on the stove-top with leftover mashed potatoes--but deep fried so that the end result is something crispy and textured on the outside but smooth and creamy in the middle, buttery and flavorful throughout. They make a variety of flavors to choose from with different toppings. We had the traditional (with bacon, sour cream, etc.) and the mac attack (covered in creamy mac and cheese). Both were excellent and there were a ton of varieties we would try again in the future if we spot this food truck out and about in Nashville.
