Not only were they responsive to…read moreour concerns with returning the truck a few days late they took extra time to review previous notes from our rental in order to serve us better. All the staff that we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Kathy (sp?) I believe was her name, provided us with the best customer service we could ask for. We would absolutely recommend or use this Penske location in particular for any and all future needs.

We will see how it goes and…read moreupdate tonight Update on December 5, 2016: When I went to pick my truck up, it wasn't ready. With me moving from El Paso to Orlando, it was a long drive and I wanted to get the truck to load ASAP. I wasn't exactly ready to load the truck so I had no issues waiting a couple of hours. To help the situation, the manager gave me 5% off which was very nice as I did not ask for it and was not expecting it. The trucks themselves are newer, much newer and more modern than the Uhaul fleet. Penske trucks are diesel so you seem to get more weight capacity. There was an auxiliary jack for my iPod which made the drive less miserable. It would be a 1,700+ mile drive. It has cruise control which helped on the flat surfaces but going uphill was a battle due to the weight. So why only 3 stars despite the positives? Because they failed to explain the DEF and have the DEF filled. DEF is diesel exhaust fluid used to lower emissions. I saw a gauge on the dash and when it ran low, I started reading about it. Wish it was explained to me. 3 stars isn't a bad thing but I think they need to shore up the small details such as being on time and making sure the DEF is full before they get to 4 or 5 star ratings.

Yesterday, I went to make my December payment in person and to unload items into my storage unit (#0006). At the front desk, an employee--whose name I could not get--told me verbatim, "I don't see any payment due right now." When I clarified that my payment was due December 4, 2025, and that I wanted to pay today since I had just received my paycheck, the employee added, "Actually, I don't see any payment due for December. I only see one for January 2026." I want to be clear: I had a witness present who heard the exact same statements, so this was not a misunderstanding. This misinformation is completely unacceptable and demonstrates clear ineptitude. I was wearing bright royal blue scrubs with very short, blue-tinted hair, in case footage helps identify the employee. Adding to the frustration, I received a payment notice at 12:50AM, which is unprofessional and adds unnecessary stress. Between inaccurate staff guidance and poorly timed communications, this location makes what should be a simple process confusing and difficult. There are also deeper issues with training and communication. For example, I was previously unaware that a purchased lock needed to be placed the same day to secure my unit properly. Despite having paid for it, I was not informed of this requirement. This reflects systemic failures in staff training and management oversight, not just a single employee mistake. Paying customers should receive accurate information, professional guidance, and clear communication, yet this location consistently fails in these areas. This is unacceptable for any business that relies on its customers to operate. Until staff are properly trained, management enforces standards, and communication improves, I cannot recommend this U-Haul location. This is not simply about a payment--it reflects a wider problem with how the facility operates. U-Haul needs to act immediately to improve staff competency, communication, and overall customer experience. I encourage every customer to share this experience more broadly to warn other customers. This is about holding a business accountable for misinformation, poor service, and lack of professionalism.

They have these foamy inserts that cushion your stuff and I've used them many times when I moved and nothing of a broke. The guy who was behind the desk was so helpful. He helped me figure out what it would cost me and what kind what size U-Haul truck I would need to take my Household items to my next destination. The service was great.
