But wait, this is a gas station review! Read on. Walmart is in bed with Murphy's. You can see them in front of hundreds of Walmart's. How do you take advantage of this? Double-Dip #1- Assuming you patronize Walmart, buy yourself a membership. It will cost you less than $100 and comes with tons of perks including gas discounts at Murphy's. How do you get the $? You tell the gas pump you are Walmart member by scanning a QRC code or punching in a code available on the Walmart app. See my picture. Double-Dip 2- Walmart is also in bed with Capital One. Get yourself a Walmart credit card. It has no fee. Pay for your gas with this card. So how much can you get Steven B? Depending on the deals going on I get at least 10 cents a gallon and sometimes up to 15! This can really add up over a year to some serous $$! Note, I believe the amounts might vary by state. The gas station itself is top notch. Up-to-date pumps and often the best price intown. The convenience store is spotless. I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars!

It's been a while since I have reviewed these fine folks and lately, they have reinvented…read morethemselves so it's definitely time for an update! It's a quirky little place that has a one-alley drive-through and a walk-up window and no dine-in. Why did I say alley? Because it looks like a one-alley oil lube place. So much so that to this day, folks drive through and ask how much is an oil change even though all they have is great food and a few sundries! I think it's partly related to their name! So how did they reinvent themselves? Up until about two years ago they were famous for selling case beer. You would pop your trunk and a guy would drop the case right in. You never had to get out of your car. For some reason they quit selling beer to focus on other things. Up until about a year ago they had great food but no fries and this was a major complaint they had to deal with. They fixed this and now they have huge portions of wonderful, glorious skin-on fries! So now you come here for fantastic breakfast sandwiches, great burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Of course, drinks. On my last visit I ordered a cheeseburger and fries @ $8.87. I'm embarrassed by the picture as there was a huge, juicy, hand-formed burger under there! There were even more fries, but I scoffed some down on the way home! So, you can blow through here for breakfast or lunch and have a great sandwich and patronize a local business at the same time! It doesn't get much better than that!

They are owned by an extended family from Michigan that like so many others, moved to sunny Florida for the weather. They are universally friendly and welcoming. 2. The place is spotless I mean eat-off-the-floor spotless. 3. You can get a beer which is extremely important for my next point. 4. What sets them apart from all the others is that on weekends (Saturday & Sunday), A pit master sets up a grill and sells wonderful BBQ at seriously good prices. A friend and I stopped by for a "Q" lunch today. The pit master was doing quarter chickens, ribs and sausage. Each came with homemade Coleslaw and baked beans. A one-meat platter was $5, and a two-meat platter was $10. Are you kidding me! You can have a wonderful BBQ lunch for less than you would spend at a fast food joint! I think I'll stop back tomorrow for another excellent lunch!

Soooooo a gas station goes defunct as they do once and a while and nobody seems to want to pick it…read moreup as another gas station. It just sits there looking like s**t! Along comes an entrepreneur who wants to grab the building at an insanely cheap rent and try to make a go of it. Welcome to America! So, this guy gives it a shot about five months ago. The outside still looks like s**t of course. However, he gets himself lottery and tobacco licenses and most importantly a beer license. Throw in bagged ice, lots and lots of snacks and a few sundries and off we go! If you live within a mile or so and they have what you need, it gets the job done. It's not particularly clean and not particularly organized but if you want to pick up a six pack and a couple of scratch offs and be back home in ten minutes it's ideal. The guy I met, who I'm betting was the owner or family member was very nice and I wish them luck!

The gas price will not be the absolute lowest in the area, but it will be close. 2. They have updated pumps with all the latest bells & whistles. 3. The store is clean and well stocked. 4. They have two EV charging stations with easy access. If Chevron is a preferred brand for you, I suspect you will give them four stars!

I was on a snack run and stopped into this very nice and spotless facility. It's usually staffed by just one person and they have always been great! There were tons to choose from and every code I looked at was waaay longer then I needed. My small pile of snacky stuff cost me a whole $6. I would have paid double or triple that at normal retail! Obviously, these folks are Tastykakes and there are mountains of them to choose from. They have several locations in Central Florida and are definitely worth a stop if you have the munchies!

A quick internet search told me the next closest location was Daytona Beach over 130 miles away. How they choose teeny tiny Avon Park is a mystery! They finally opened and they seem to be your typical gas/convenience store combo with an emphasis on pleasant employees, * Being new, everything is spotless. * They have a great location with entrances on Route 27 North and Main St., Avon Park. * They are matching the lowest gas prices around. * The pumps have the appropriate bells and whistles. * The store has beer, ice, an ATM and all the other usual stuff. * My first impressions of the employees is that they are especially pleasant which is always a good thing. Of course, being new, they are trying their hardest to make a good impression. We'll see how they age!

I actually visited twice because it was so bad the first time I thought the shock might have affected my ability to comprehend what I was experiencing. Nope, the second visit was just as bad. If you've been around awhile, it's easy to see what this place used to be. It was the corner store where you could get anything and meet all your neighbors. It has groceries, a meat market, a notary, Western Union, a bait shop, fishing licenses, gas pumps out front and on and on and on. Old timers say that it indeed was the place to go. Time has passed it by and now it's just a sad, dirty, and broken down eyesore. It's a miracle it's still open. Abysmal selection. Out of code products. Dirty. Broken displays. You get the idea. If the apocalypse occurred and the world as we knew it was ending; I might stop in but I'd need to think about it!

The only reason I stopped here is a friend asked me to meet here to caravan to a local eatery. Gas Price- I'll give them this one. They stay within a penny or three of the big guys. Pumps- They are OK but behind the times and don't have all the bells and whistles like much of the competition. The Store- It's the Stop-N-Shop brand. Just like the pumps, out of date and a bit neglected. There are several places with equally easy access within tenths of a mile that are worlds better! I'll bet the only reason they stay in business is the appear to maintain a fair gas price.
