After contacting the county clerk by email concerning my request, he/she sent a link for payment. Once the payment is submitted, the receipt and documents are sent via email. A little longer drawn out process possibly due to being a larger county in population. Who knows? I've performed this process with other counties, and it's pretty much the same procedure. These people seem on top of their game and would gladly contact them in the future.

Sculptures tastefully down leading up to the entrance. Then when you open the grand, opened area you see a larger than life draped USA flag. The TSA lines start down stairs. You don't go upstairs unless you have a boarding pass. There were lines already for regular boarding and for TSA Prescreen. I heard NO yelling. Every TSA agent that wanted to say something to someone, looked them in the eye and in a normal and respectful tone, said it. I believe that the TSA agents are a good representation of the average personality in that area. I'd like to come back. Yesterday we walked 3 miles for dinner. The roads were clean. Drivers were respectful. Everyone we spoke to was polite. Love it!

Now, yes wear a mask, keep your distance, take off your mask momentarily to show your face so it may be compared to your ID. Yes, you will have to take off your shoes, leave all your electronics and carry-on bag on a big tray for the search detector leaving you a bit vulnerable but its all good, we all who travel often do this things. We are use to it, we do them all for our own safety. Yup. The key is that El Paso International Airport TSA team makes this process faster and smoother than any other. Just follow the guidelines and you'll be fine.

Today I was selected as a juror for a capital murder case. We were more than 120 people invited in…read morethe présélection of the jury. The process was efficient and well organized. It took awhile for the two bailiffs to process our group. They are responsible for maintaining security in the courtroom and ensuring that appropriate courtroom decorum is maintained. The judge reminded us of our qualifications and exemptions. Since I am the care taker for a teenager I was able to get an exemption and was released. It was mixed feeling as I would have liked to fulfill my civic duty. I was impressed by the judge and the entire process. I was excited to serve as I became American in El Paso eight years ago!

First time on jury duty ever in all my 30 years of life, but especially since getting my…read morecitizenship 7 years ago. I had no idea what to expect! I did however start worrying that either A) i would be stuck on trial for weeks B) report late for my summons and be fined, only to be summoned again or C) look like a fool for being the only person bringing their lunch as the summons slip suggested. Well luckily only option C applied lol. And everything else was surprisingly smooth! Except for finding parking where these jackasses double park so as not to get their car scratched. The parking in their garage was paid for at least in exchange for your summons slip. It was a bit of a lag waiting to either be dismissed or assigned to a case. Report time was 9AM but we didnt get assigned until close to 930. Whatever i guess. We're on the Court's time, not ours. So we follow through with our assignment to one of the District Court rooms. Getting passed security was a long process since there was only 1 lane of putting your bag through the surveillance machine and to walk through the metal detector. There was 100s of us required to report. We were lucky to get to the court room just in time to call us to our assigned juror panel number. The juror check in room and the court room both smelled like vomit. That subtle acidic smell that lingered in the air. And I was getting super annoyed that we didnt get to leave until close to 2PM for lunch. At first it started off as only a short break by 115ish and they were trying to determine if it was lunch time or to continue with the voir dire. Thank god they couldnt even continue anymore with the case and discharged us all with our fatty $6 check. Guess ill hit up the Value Menu! Lol but thankfully no need since i had my lunch at the ready! It probably wasnt the worst case scenario.... see what i did there? Lol but im sure they could have planned out their agenda better.

El Paso is one of the most amazing cities in the United States, as it sits under the shadow of a huge hill situated across the border in the massive and densely populated Ciudad Juarez, which is also one of the most dangerous and high-crime cities in the world, but one which I desperately want to visit one day. The danger on the Mex-side is largely because it sits at the gateway to the United States and therefore is one of the main traffic points for drugs from Latin America into the drug-addicted and cash-flush United States. But the city of El Paso is so much more than its reputation... it is full of uniqueness and dry brown imposing desert-scape mountains, and looks very much like Mexico, with a great position located right along the border, perhaps the world's most famous border. In many ways El Paso is a smaller and more American half of Juarez. It's a great place and a mystical place, and one which I look forward to coming back to in future. When I was here before, we fed homeless people, I played an amazing concert (one of my best ever), and I helped my friend cross the border and come back, sadly without ever crossing myself. And here is a nice shout out to my friend Jacob with whom I shared some good experiences when I came to El Paso many years ago.

Because housing does Rock there is a long waiting list but calling at least 3 months before PCSing here and patience it is not impossible to get a home on post. Day Cares and Before and after program for kids are top of the line. The PX Rocks. The PX has BWW, Nice New Cinema, Texas Road House, Under Armor, 3 different places to get a hair cuts, bank, Orange Julius, Smash Burger, Bars, biggest class six I have seen, pretty decent clothing and sales (if it wasn't for their sucky costumer service) game stop, wide variety of other restaurants to get a quick bite to eat during lunch .. etc etc. Fort Bliss is large, it is in the corner of Texas so you must drive for hours if you want to change the scenery a bit. Soldiers and their families complaint but as humans thats what we do. Fort Bliss has an affordable golf course. The soldiers activity center in east Bliss has a rock wall, Eats Bliss also has a large indoors pool for you and the family to enjoy. Two USOs, Two libraries, plenty of green like areas yet Below are the complaints but regardless of them I have seen plenty of people getting out of the military and stay here lol - Its so Hot, During the Summer, Yes it is. - Its so dry, Of course! its the desert. - Looks just like a Afghanistan, Yes it does why do you think our training remains to be here. - The traffic lights on post take forever, Mainly on main post. - FORSCOM sucks - Of course, here and everywhere. - Its so windy during spring, this is my only legit complaint, yup.. Mid Feb to April the combination of wind and sand .. oh my, you better wash your face. - There is nothing to do, This is no tourists city but there is plenty to do in the area, specially if you are open minded, like hiking, and you are planning to drive. - The barracks suck, most barracks buildings have been renovated, many barracks in east Bliss has a large kitchen and a dinning room/living room like area. Now, if you are on main post yes your barracks will suck, but hopefully this gets fixed soon. - DFAC Food - Its not terrible. Fort Bliss and White Sands are the largest training area in the Army. Its Medical facilities need improvement, currently a new and large hospital is being built in East-east Bliss but til that opens they need improvement. Overall, With the money the DOD provides Fort Bliss is doing fine.

For us it took us 1 hour to cross into the U.S. the app estimated about 50 minutes. Not too bad. Crossing from El Paso to Juarez, Mexico. There are three ways to cross driving. Our friends took us through the entrance where we paid. The other two entrances are free, but are also a lot busier. We paid almost $2 (Dollars) each way, so about $4 (Dollars) round trip. However, this library suits the purpose. It is not really clean which saddens me. This is probably why I do not like coming here that often. On a side note, they rent movies.

In reality, I'm a fan of all the El Paso public library branches and they are all meet pretty much…read morethe same standards. This library is closest to the Stonehaven/Eastwood area. It's a one story building with a park and walk way outside. Inside there's plenty of seating, computers and laptops available. The book selection is what it is, decent sized (comparable to the size of a library in a public school maybe). If you can't find the book you're looking for, don't give up hope...just go to the front desk (you can also do this online under your account on the libraries website) and make a request. They'll let you know if there is a wait for the book because a lot of people have requested it before you. If there's no wait, expect your book in the next couple of days - they'll give you a call to let you know when it's in. This branch used to have a cafe in the far left corner. I'm not sure what plans they have for it now, but I'm positive it'll either go back to being a cafe or become some kind of "quiet" room. The Jose Cisneros branch like all the others are always having different classes and groups. Check the website to find out if there's a group that you want to check out. They also have a lot of things for kids to do (and even more in the summer) and I would say a majority of it, if not all of it, is FREE. If you're taking your kids here, there's usually a small snake on exhibit near the check out. The snake goes on hiatus during the winter though, but your kids might become a fan of the library just because of that snake. I've seen it happen.
