Soldiers can come here and submit everything to get a drivers license, vehicle registration, vehicle title and transfer. FT Bliss retention office is here and school liaison. Also some sort of in processing finance support . The DMV/Public Safety office inside the Welcome/Soldier Center in Fort Bliss is great for it is not near as busy as off base, you can get about everything done but the driving test part of getting a driving license.

I'm active Air Force and they still welcomed me as I was visiting in town. I waited maybe 10 minutes and got processed/finished within 20 minutes. It makes life much less stressful for military community members to not wait hours on end at the other off base places. I'd recommend making a sure you have printed copies of all your required documents. They don't accept emailed copies or copies from your smart phone.

He then asked by chance if I knew where his unit was, but of course I did not. So it dawned on me, while I'm on duty, why not create and check in at the BDE and BNs I have to go do security checks at?! That way the location will be saved, and if by any chance a new Soldier uses Yelp (or Google searches their unit and a yelp link shows up on google) they can then use the maps to get them to their location. Now I won't have everything on here, Ft Bliss is huge, but I'll at least be able to add a few of the ADA spots to help out (potentially) incoming new Air Defenders and support Soldiers. I've been using this port of entry since I was a little girl living in Juarez and is honestly the…read morebest out of the three in the Juarez metropolitan area. What makes this the best out of the three? This port of entry has like 12 check points and more than half of those are "ready lanes" which makes it faster than the other bridges. The only bad thing about it, is that once in a while the US Border side decides to close half of all the lanes and then chaos comes into place. Pro tip #1: Before you cross the border, please do yourself a favor and get the visa card that allows you to use the ready lane. If you only have a passport, you'll have to use the other lanes that take at least twice the waiting time. Pro tip #2: There is a website online called "reporte de puentes" which gives you a better idea of how long the line is. Pro tip #3: Don't come here without snacks. You'll be here a while and you'll start craving the chips that people sell at the bridge. Pro tip #4: Use the bathroom before you get here. There are no restrooms and no way you can stop to use one. Final and most important tip: IF you have the visa card that I mentioned on tip #1, always use the lane on the left side. This is the longest one, but this lane covers half of the bridge so it moves faster.
