They also aren't afraid to add a little heat, but as somebody who doesn't like their food too spicy nothing here was overdone. I'm really glad we decided to stop during a road trip up 95. Now, the place is loud, so if that's not your jam maybe try take out because the food is top notch. We didn't like our drinks, as we opted to be a little adventurous here. I ordered a mezcal drink with orange and pineapple, she ordered an orange version of the house marg. We both decided maybe we should just try the standard marg next time. Also for what it's worth, our server spoke very little English. Overall, I rate restaurants on if we'd come back or not. Well let me tell you, I live 6 hours away and on the way out we were wondering if it would be worth the drive for dinner. The answer is absolutely yes.

Chips and salads were good, guac was okay and I was really disappointed in the taste and texture of everything else. I ordered a taco salad with ground beef (not exciting ... I'd stop by for chips and a margarita , but not sure about the rest of the food.

I have never been so mortified in my entire life…read more I had never been to this restaurant: I would have used the drive through, but I didn't know anything about the menu. So I walked in & stood @ the bar, attempting to get a to-go order. There were very few people eating inside & no one @ the drive through, but there were lots of staff. I watched the bartender make a couple of margaritas and my mouth began to water, so I looked at the drink menu. The organic margarita jumped off the page: I had decided. The barkeep gave the 2 huge margaritas to a waitress, then he started pacing back and forth. I was the only person @ the bar, but he would not even look at me. Of all the staff people there, not one stopped to help me or find out if I had been helped. They flat-out ignored me, on purpose. They just were NOT going to wait on me!!?!? So I got up & left. I was absolutely livid. Maybe they don't like women alone at the bar. Maybe they don't like white women at all. Maybe they don't like older ladies. Maybe it was the way I was dressed. I have no clue what their problem was, as nothing was ever said in front of me; but I can tell you that they were definitely prejudiced against me for something. I've never in my entire 62 year lifetime been treated so poorly in any restaurant. I will be posting a review of this incident anywhere I can find to put it. ~and~ I would not eat @ this restaurant if it was the last place on earth to get food!
