One thing that I really enjoyed about this location in downtown Commerce is the staff. They all worked together and delivered great customer service. The staff was actively cleaning the restaurant as people left. The food was a bit of a disappointment. And I really wanted to like it. The kids cheese quesadilla was the most enjoyable thing we got. The food lacked seasoning, presentation and delivered a very odd aftertaste. The salsa was good but also lacked seasoning. It all lacked something. We just stopped here while our daughter has a performance down the road. So we only had a drink and had to leave without eating. The drinks were really good and generous We noticed the prices were very reasonable, so after her performance we went back to eat. I had carne asada tacos and they were so flavorful! Love this little restaurant in downtown! We were on our way to Alabama and stopped in for dinner, based on their Yelp rating. We weren't disappointed. We were sat in a booth near the door, which provided us some privacy from the openness of the dining room. The salsa and chips were fresh and delicious. We ordered cheese dip to go with them and it was creamy and warm. Our meals were awesome. My daughter got a chicken diablo dish that was excellent. After waiting for a while and being the last standing, you would think that we would get next table, right? Nope! In walks a local and they are greeted warmly and seated promptly.
