Wow what a hidden gem... Actually authentic Mexican food. This food is so flavorful it's just too hard to describe the different flavors. You know it's real Mexican when everything has its own flavor. Unlike most Mexican restaurants when everything taste the same. Every single by bite was a flavorful explosion! Found this place by Shear accident... Lucky lucky us!!!! Another small business that should be full unlike so many others right now it's not. We had the El Toreado (shrimp, steak, chicken, bacon on rice with queso). My husband LOVES! It's his favorite and he will choose this restaurant for that meal 100 times over. I had a quesadilla. The host was incredibly rude and abrupt. We came in for a new & pleasant experience. So, we left... went down the road to Pleasant Hill, where we ended up at nice Mexican restaurant where we were treated like valued customers. Won't stop at this location again in Lone Jack. read more

This was our first time trying El Paisa - very disappointed in the flavors. I asked for pico, onions, and peppers to be added. I didn't realize it didn't come with any salad dressing so I used my side of salsa which was also pretty bland. The peppers and onions were raw and the hamburger was terrible. Probably won't be back but if we do go I wouldn't get the salad or nachos again. The people were very nice just not a fan of the food. read more

Owner screamed at me when I told him my order had been incorrect, and had a credit for fajitas, being mine were unable to me eaten. Due to seafood allergy. The original Manager was apologetic for shrimp being in the fajitas, made it right by offering a full credit for chicken/beef fajitas, for our future visit. When I tried to use that credit, the Owner took the order by phone, said okay, he understood. My son went to pick them up for me. The owner knew I was Sending him. Once my son got there he yelled at my son saying he would only give us five dollars off. My son then called me, so that I could talk to the owner. The Owner was livid. He screamed at me. Hung up on me. I text my son, and told him to leave. read more

NOT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN. But the prices are. First time going and the last time. I read the revies. Must be the big ol margarita's/ beer. This is Taco bell food. severed on a microwave plate. Not made fresh. We had the burrito. can beans, old dry rice, both no flavor. Tasteless. Meat had very little flavor. sauce was flat, no spice at all. like oping a jar of cheap taco sauce. This is what you get. You order we put it in a microwave. You get your heated up food we fixed? Wait staff was more in to watching the soccer game, in Spanish. We walked into a dark place. More like a bar. No one at front. we did not know if we just sit ourselves or wait. Husband walked to his left a Mexican sitting watching the game. Someone did come took us to the table. We just got our drinks. Ask us if we were ready to order. First off, we said never been here. Mexican did not say we have a special, or our best seller is our big margarita's. We told him we needed more time. When we did get our flat flavorless food i burn my hand on the hot microwave plate. We know for a fact this is not made fresh.
