I was promptly seated and brought the usual chips and salsa - the latter was not chunky, but my usual addition of hot sauce made it good. If you've read any of my Mexican Restaurant reviews, ya know I am a fan of Chimichanga. The Chimi arrived, and first observation was the re-fried beans. If I could give a "half star" off, I would - it was thin, but with good flavor. The rest of the meal was excellent! The chimi was really good. The atmosphere was excellent, the staff really nice and helpful. A quick visit to the restroom showed it to be spotless.

A small town on the Tennessee-Alabama border. Not the most promising spot for a Mexican restaurant, right? Actually wrong. El Olmeca is a fun, inexpensive and tasty Mexican restaurant, well worth the mile detour from interstate 65. It's bright, roomy interior is welcoming and the place can get busy. Excellent standards--steak fajitas were cooked perfectly, tender not chewy. Pollo supremo is another lunch favorite. My fav, huevos con chorizo was excellent and a generous portion. The salsa is not just out of a jar either. Food is solid--the service, solid, prompt, courteous, and everything is really served piping hot. Today was my third stop--hopefully many more to come.

Used these guys to cater a meal for one of my doctor's offices in this area. They did a great job and the food was very good. Loved the fact that they put each meal in a separate bag for each person.

My son loves going to get tacos along with the cheese dip. The service is great. All the food that we have tried has been really good I would highly recommend.

Fajitas with added veggies to substitute rice and beans. Super awesome flavor!

This place is a great! They are super accommodating with any request or want! The biggest downside is the location. Due to being in Ardmore, you won't find any margaritas here unless you consider the Bud Light Margarita one. They do have a beer selection tho. The cheese dip is a great way to start the meal, just creamy and thick enough. The chips and salsa are super fresh. My husband loves the Burrito El Omeca, and I love the Fajitas! If you want any substitutions just ask, it might be some extra, but they take great care of you here. The staff are also nice and generous! We will definitely be back!

Favorite Mexican restaurant, great food and service. In the five years I've been going here I've never left disappointed.

Mediocre at best. Service is consistently poor. Salsa is good. Nothing special, just convenient in Ardmore.

Best Mexican in Ardmore. Good food, fast service and good prices. And excellent salsa! They have outdoor dining on the front porch.

We tried this restaurant while visiting Lynchburg, TN. There are not many restaurants open late in…read morethe area so this one got busy quickly. We tried their fresh guacamole and I really liked their fresh salsa. The ambiance is nice. It's a small place. We also tried their tamarind drink with chicken bowl and arroz con pollo. Everything tasted good. See photos of the food below. Service was pretty quick.

We came here after doing the Jack Daniel's Tour and it happened to be right across from their store they have. As you enter Christian greeted us and sat us down we were a party of 4. He took our order for drinks and then we placed our food order. Everything looked so good on the menu and love that they have pictures as well so you can get an idea on how it's served. I'm a big Chips and salsa critique and well these were a 10/10 the chips were warm and loved that it was a good sized portion for 4 people and the salsa has a small kick but very flavorful and original. Our food came out shortly after enjoying a Queso Fundido with chorizo it was pretty good. I had the order of the Chicken Flautas with a side of sour crème and salad side that was yummy. They reminded me of my mom's flautas very original and the chicken was juicy and had great seasoning and flavor. These are great for an appetizer but I had them as my meal & finished them ALL. We also had their Carne Asada Burrito that was massive but very well served with rice, beans, carne asada, sour crème and salsa. It was so good we even got one to go minus the salsa they out on top like a wet burrito. It was finger licking good! The food was delicious, they were very attentive and then after a few minutes of us being there their service picked up cause that's how good their food is. If you are in town try them out you won't be disappointed. They have TV's & some fun Mexican decorations, the restaurant is very clean and live that's it's a family owned restaurant. I will always support family owned because the food WILL be good cause it's either grandma or mom cooking can't get better than that.. in other words Come have some Mexican food!

I got the Pollo la Marina dinner which is chicken and shrimp with mixed (grilled) vegetables and white rice. The rice has small squares of carrots and some green peas mixed in it. It is Flavorless and pasty. The vegetables have the consistency of being boiled instead of grilled. Again, Flavorless. The chicken and shrimp are covered in some kind of odd looking grayish-brown sauce that tastes like gravy you would put on mashed potatoes. It is not visually appealing and the taste is not complimentary to this dish! I expected authentic Mexican flavors but the chicken and shrimp have none! I'm actually kind of shocked at the lack of taste in this dish! The best taste I had, sadly, was from the salsa that came with the chips on the side! I'm disappointed to say that I strongly advise against this Pollo la Marina dish unless you enjoy the weird blandness of hospital food with a side of runny gray liquid that tastes like gravy. Service, on the other hand is good! Very nice folks who provide quick service! The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice with booth seating.
