While it may not be clearly Spanish food but rather more Spanish inspired mixed with some Scandinavian influences but I still found it great. The guys running this place also have El Diablo at Kungsholmen. Started the evening with a glass of cava. The selection was very good with some I had never tried before, ended up having an oak aged cava which was really great. Look forward to stopping by just for a few glasses of cava and some tapas at the bar in the future. We had reserved the chef's table - I just love to sit so that I can see the chef(s) at work and at Bar Nombre it was not something that they charged extra for or required a specific menu to be ordered so was a welcome surprise. The food was consistently great - I started the evening with some braised ox cheek - a lovely dish that just made me want more. The main for me was a the pork - prepared to perfection. Everyone else was also very pleased with their choice of food - we were 4 people in the group and everyone ordered something different and everyone was pleased with every single dish. It was also plenty of food so I actually skipped the dessert. Service was extremely efficient and very friendly and still managing to be good with recommendations and make everyone feel welcome. Champinones al Ajillo-mushrooms sauteed in white wine and garlic. also delicious but a danger to your mouth if you don't let them cool a bit. Albondigas-meatballs in tomato sauce. nice flavor profile for the meatballs. the sauce while listed as spicy was just nicely herby. Croquetas de Pollo-deep fried bundles of flavor. Chicken with Serrano Ham. wonderful. Croquetas de Gambas-not quite as flavorful as the chicken version but still tasty. Pincho de Gambas-Skewered scampi with sweet chili and chili aioli. We ordered the chili aioli on the side fortunately. still a bit spicy for us with the seasoning on the shrimp. Only two shrimp per order. Ceviche de Gamba-Ceviche with tiger prawns, avocado, dill, lime & chili. Being still a bit hungry, I chose to test my limits on eating spicy and ordered this. Love ceviche but many times I am unable to enjoy it with my low spice tolerance. interestingly, served with no chips or bread. alas I was unable to endure this and the most gracious staff kindly removed it from our bill. Stockholm is a very expensive-in our opinion-place to visit and dine so our meal netted out to over $100 usd with no alcohol. Excellent food but small portions and too expensive. If you charge these prices you have to have perfect service. It's not ok to wait almost an hour from walking in to getting a drink. The food and staff were excellent but you have to seat people and give them drinks within minutes of walking in. If you can't do this then take on more people, it's not that hard, especially when you're charging these prices. Well go back mid week but if we wait that long again it will be the last time
