Service was good, not exceptional, but we also weren't in the mood to be hovered over. The place was very clean, and they were cleaning while we were there. The music selection was interesting, ranging from traditional Hispanic to Snoop and Dre, but I didn't mind (he didn't notice until I started to dance). The menu is vast! From the basic burrito to more adventurous (tongue and feet). A few people stopped in for carry out orders while we were there as well. We will definitely be back!

We were using the big room in the back of the restaurant. Our servers were Isabella and Aracely (but is called Shellie). A lot of our residents go there to eat and knew exactly what they wanted to eat. I got some really nice pictures of the platters. I didn't really see a lot of duplication on the meals. My husband and I shared the Burrito Supremo that came with two burritos. We chose to get one Grilled Chicken and one Steak Burrito and Refried Beans and Rice. We also ordered an extra side of beans and rice. This one meal was enough for both of us. The servers were so good when the food came about knowing who got what! They checked in on us and brought refills for our drinks and cleared our dishes. We really had a good time at el Toro's and enjoyed talking. We were really relaxed and we had a couple of brand new homeowners at our dinner and even got to meet 2 family members. Robyn

There are two entrances one in the front and the rear entrance where there is an outdoor eating patio area. Way too cold for that. Neat historical building. Felt like trying something new and this had the "new" label on it. It was enormous. Way more than I could handle. Contains shrimp, scallops, chicken and chopped steak. The cactus leaves were delicious. It was delicious but more of a two serving dish. Good date night meal. The chips were crispy and the salsa is also great. The sweet tea was also amazing.

I'm really glad that we listened to mine and ventured out tonight for dinner. The menu isn't necessarily different from other Mexican restaurants, but the quality of food is. We started with their complementary salsa and chips. The salsa already has a bite to it, but if you would prefer something hotter, just ask. The queso is also really good and the large is enormous. I opted to stay on the sides menu and ask for the beef and bean burrito as well as one soft taco with grilled cheese. You get a lot of protein inside of your tortilla. I am so full! And I really appreciated having the option to have grilled chicken rather than shredded plus the burrito was not greasy. We were seated right away and had fantastic, quick service. Their parking lot shares space with several other businesses so there's plenty of spots to go around. Indoor seating as well as patio good for small or larger groups. We will definitely be back!

Mi Tierra remains a solid choice for TexMex. Remarkably consistent. Portions are ample. The food is served hot. And served quickly. Service remains excellent. Her chicken was fork tender and moist. I avoided my usual fajitas and ordered The Burrito Mi Tierra. A large rolled flour tortilla stuffed with steak, peppers & onions. I thought the steak was a bit chewy, but there was lots of flavor packed into the burrito. A substantial service of rice and "salad" completed the plate.
