Best courthouse I've been to judge Daniel s López was fair reduced my fine from 1100 to half very quick

I been to a lot of courthouses in the past and the security is very poor here theres 2 old people that can hardly walk guarding the door, it feels like im walking in to wallmart when i see them, the clerks at the window are nice they try to help as much as they can... PLEASE READ*****The judges here or all bad i been here 3 time and all the 3 times they try there best not to give any one a chance to win any of there tickets and the people that dont fight the ticked that are there to get community service they all get denied, the Judy all 3 time all different judges at this court room i have witness reject community service to people, they say u have to be on SSA or GA or some government aid to qualify for it, which is not true and is miss leading, they try to pull that on me but it didn't work I told them to give me the paper work i will fill it out, i work 40hr a week for $10 a hr, my rent is $500 my cell phone and insurance is $190 a month that alone qualify me for community service, so they gave it to me, its sad because most people just say okay and walk away people that get $8 an hr and work 20hr a week because the judges here try to take advantage of people that dont know any better so sad we have came to this, but thats the Justices system, how ever not all courts are like this so there is hope for others that end up in another court room. read more

I been trying to call the court house about my ticket for the pass 2 weeks but all i get is a message then it just hangs up

I call the courthouse number and I'm waiting, hearing the same thing over and over again. It's saying to hold and it hangs up on its own. Why have a number if you can't even get ahold of anyone. read more

Judge doesn't listen too well here. I told him I could pay my ticket in full same day and I spent over an hour waiting because he put that I wanted to pay partial payment. If you're going to hire high court judges please be sure they hear well, are fair, and don't have you sit back down for asking two simple questions. Ridiculous, but hey what can you do it is the American justice system after all. They can get away with what ever they want milking you of any amount of money they choose. read more

Just another day of suiting up and heading to court: First off, this court is tiny and the parking lot is really small as well. It is pretty obvious that this court house is terribly understaffed due to budget cuts due to the massively long lines here. The courthouse isn't too shabby but you start to feel bad for everyone here from the clerks to the people getting their fines. Overall, this court house mostly handles criminal and traffic problems and that is more than this courthouse can handle. :/ Lawyer out... read more

Most unorganized and unprofessional court house. LA superior court is 10x more flooded with individuals yet are quick, knowledgeable and professional. read more

Awesome courthouse. Free parking unlike Alhambra! Love it here! For those of you who have traffic cases here. You have to pay your bond (price of ticket) before you get your trial, unless you have an attorney do it for you. They have a high rate of cops showing up for traffic court. However, cops are cool. read more

Standing in line behind roughly 40 people. My appt. Is as 8am and I'm still outside. It's gonna be a long one. The women right behind me stinks with some cheap perfume. So, I moved up close to the guy right in front of me. Not by choice! He has a cleaner smell. So, I'm in now. Passed check scan and was put in another line by a rude employee there. So lost, thought I was suppose to see the judge. Anyhow, found out that line was for me to schedule an actual Court Date with the judge. Yikes! Was so pumped up to fight this ticket and beg for 12 hours traffic school if Im at fault. Got nothing out of it today. Now, I have to wait till Oct to see the judge. By then, I won't remember what to say!!! BTW, there's information on the back of your ticket. It tells you what you what to expect once you're in. Three Stars*** for hopes that the cop won't show up or that the judge will give me 12 hours traffic school. Fingers cross!!!! read more

OMG! Never seen such poor adminstrative at a courthouse. They're not up to par on helping to find the right department to go too. Judges meetings being held during the time when your suppose to be dealt with your case and the poor inmates having to wait in the cell is unexceptable. What needs to be done is they is either get their shut together or get new adminstrative and stop giving everyone the run around. Plain and simple advice. read more

Ok, so I was told that I can have a fix it ticket from Burbank takin care of here. So they charge you $5 for parking $17 for their service fee and they don't take credit card? Like it's the 80's!! Then I had to wait 20 mins outside for a "sheriff" to come and inspect my car. Then told by one of the "sheriffs" that I have to fa back to Burbank to show them proof that it's fixed? Wtf is the point of me comin here if I just have to go to Burbank? So I tried my luck in the traffic line and sure enough they were able to take care of it!! Long story short the "sheriffs" don't know shit, like even the way law works and how to get your issue solved. read more

If you have court @ 8:30..you wont leave till about 11. And dont go in with plastic spikes as jewelry. They wouldnt allow a plastic bracelet but they bypassed my metal spike bracelet. These people make no sense. read more

Very Courteous, I had my children with me and they made me wait outside. I was only clearing a registration ticket but I didn't know that after I had already fully paid the fine, I wasn't required to appear in court anymore. But everything went very smoothly, they made sure I had everything I needed. read more

The El Monte courthouse is typically crowded with moving violation offenders. It has great free parking space and is fairly easy to get in and out of. I've been here twice, once for small claims court and once for a bike light ticket. The small claims runs smoothly and seems fair even though I lost. However, the traffic court seems to be a different story. Perhaps it's the State's necessity for money but they are not overturning much these days was my observation. Commissioner Jose Rodriguez, who handles traffic, is incompetent, bias and misinformed. I provided Nasa statistical proof that I was riding my bike while there was daylight. He said that I did not convince him beyond a reasonable doubt. Reasonable doubt is not even required in these kinds of cases. Either way, I had to pay this ticket. Save youself a headache and just pay your fine rather than seeing this clown-wanna-be judge. read more

While at the court house i noticed the lack of handicapped access ramps. The lack of elevators to enter the court house from the ground leval. What really struck me was that all the exterior hand rails were very loose. I almost collapsed trying to walk down the stairs at the front of the building. I am a ampute, and the city of el monte should be ashamed to have a building that is not in compliace with the ADA. read more

This is the worst the court experience that I have in my life. I had an old car, yes, bmw 530, but has over 150000 miles. Was on the regular way to work. The high way patrol guy just park his car under the intersection between 60 & 71 freeways. I was driving on the second line from the right of the 60, and there was a big truck just at my right side, and you will know how fast I was driving. After we almost pass by for like three cars, he just start to move his car and he changed the line to my left side with no light. And over sudden to slow down and moved to my back with the light. He told me I was driving 85!!! The truth was the bad traffic was not only on 60 west but also 60 east. Besides that my car is too old and started to be repaired all the time, and the person that did my car repair told me that I cannot drive more than 70 since I will need to replace the new shock. The car has already shaken even though in the local. Drive BMW is not mean I am rich that I do not care. I used to pay and go to the traffic school because I did wrong. But this time I will fight for it. But the problem is I work in Fontana, that is far away from el monte and also too much traffic. And as a manager of the office, I had to work everyday at that moment because I have one employee for the days off her pregnancy, and one employee for the eye surgery. So I extended the date first. But I want to see if they have night court since there is no way for me to be out before the time. Lol, the night court is 5pm! By the time that online payment option is in red and not available any more. I called the court to see if I can pay at the date for the court day, the person told me yes. So I set the date for the night court on 12/7/15 that was the only last day I can choose. That day was very busy because I have two employees that cannot come to work. I took 2 hours early left the work and still cannot make it on time. 18 minutes late, again they saying I can wrote the written letter along with the payment. So I did it and attached the evidence on 12/8/15. There was no response after that. My work is online business, and we are not allowed to answer or call during the office hour, and we were the busy season that everyday is crazy. It is hard to call them and also hard to get the reply from them. When I was able to reach them, they told me if they received it will pass to the judge, and you will receive the response once they made the decision. So I waited but no further information. So I called again, and this time they told me they did not receive anything!!! I said I did, they asked me to provide the proof. Oh my god, how can I proof with the stamped simple letter size. The person made you feel you lied and just do not want to pay. This was never happened before. I used to sent the regular mail. I went back home and wrote the check again and copied the letter, next day sent the certified mail. This time is fast, the check was cleared right away on 2/11/16. Since the check has claimed and no further document sent from them. I was busy for my work and also my new home purchase and loan, and realize that have not received my renewal license form. Since all the appointments around my work and house are all passed the date of my expiration date, I want to go there to get the new one. So I called DMV, the lady told me there was a hold by the court. They cleared the check two months ago. So I called the court again, they said they do not have this ticket in the system. So I told her to check my Dl#. And then she told me I was in the collection for unpaid bail. Am I stupid not to pay $387 with over $200000 in my account, and now I have to pay $1008. I told them the problem, and they told me the court sent the file for collect on 12/8/15. I was so angry and I told them that court has cleared the check long time ago. I am trying to transfer my insurance to combine with my home now, and I need the license right away. They told me I have to pay for this much. I had no choice and told them will pay now, but I will appeal to the court. I asked if the $1008 is including the original $387, they said yes. So if I do not ask, you do not tell me?? I said that amount has already took by the court. Again, proof. I said I can send the check copy with the court cleared. They told me that I need to call back tomorrow early to check with the court. Since the waiting time and hanged up on me one time, I had spent 2 hours for this issue that still cannot fix. I called again today and choose the call back option, but not call back for three hours. So called again and waited on line, they told me that the court has $387 and I have to pay $721. Per the date I think the judge did not even read my letter and all they want is money. I told them send me the written paper this time, I will no longer trust you.I have learned my lesson, just want to share that do not trust them, always write down the time, name, always request the signature no matter what you sent!!! read more
