It's not the biggest Mexican Resturant but it's local(ish) and as you can use Tastecard there that makes it even better. So pointers, Tastecard cannot be used to access the happy hour cocktails, Tastecard cannot be applied to the house specials . Anyway it is a small friendly restaurant the staff were very welcoming and the actual environment of the restaurant is ok, painted walls with Mexican imagery along with pictures of Hollywood legends in action mood, think Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood (to name a few) and so the list goes on. Except there is a picture of Gregory Peck in his civvies, which I really did not get. The cocktails were very good I will be going back without the car to sample more. The fact that you can order a pitcher of the cocktail you have is cool, the Mexican Banger is good The food is served in good portion sizes, except my starter of butterflied king prawns, could have used more than 3!!! The mains were all of good size and very filling. They could use slightly more spice but I guess that is a personal taste thing. All in all I will go back just to sample a pitcher of the Mexican Banger

Everyone in the restaurant was sitting waiting for food to arrive. 45 mins later, our food arrived and we were so disappointed. The patatas bravas were soggy and the potato brown and old looking obviously reheated again and again, The paella was stodgy with no flavour. The Pulpo was like chewing on an old tyre, we couldn't even attempt to eat the tortilla again the potatoes were brown and tired looking and the taste was unlike anything I had eaten before. We still had the Veal to look forward to but alas again the bread crumb fell off the old tasteless grey meat. So we gave up and asked for the bill, the waiter came back with dessert menus. We explained that we would just like the bill, so off he went again When the bill arrived we couldn't believe our eyes £30 for two soft drinks and five tapas. We looked through the receipt and they had added a £4 service charge. We didn't want to cause a fuss so paid our bill and just left hungry. I would not recommend this restaurant.

There is a fantastic bar in the centre of this restaurant that is always buzzing. If it is fine dining you like then I would recommend the restaurant upstairs. It is very elegant and you will not be disappointed with the food. My daughter had her birthday party here a few years ago; she dressed up in her Spanish flamenco dress and danced with the dancer that was entertaining that day. A great place to take the family on a Sunday lunch time, the kids love it here.
