Greeted with chips, hot sauce, & beans!

Absolutely delicious! My new favorite place! Refried beans with the arrival of the chips and hot sauce were a surprise. They also brought a secondary hotter sauce! The bottled coke from Mexico was just as it should be, cold and fresh! I ordered Huevos Rancheros. Delivered quick and hot by a friendly professional server - gave a 30% tip. This was the best rancheros that I have ever had, and I've eaten this favorite dish in different cities in the U.S. and in Mexico. The gooey cheese, the over easy eggs, the refried beans and tender rice were cooked to perfection. The choice of corn or flour tortillas were an added benefit.

We loved our food. It was really good. And they had some kind of family specials listed that made us want to bring our family back. The decor was nice. I may or may not have remembered correctly what we ate. They have a big menu, and my Spanish is very limited.

I placed an order for Uber delivery I ordered tortilla soup, which it was a flap, there was no soup but a bunch of chips which absorb the liquid, mind you I ordered this cause I have a cold, I have ordered this soup from other restaurants & they put everything seperate, soup tasted like chips I also ordered a hard shell taco I especfically said no lettuce, well it came with lettuce & taco was so soggy I had to eat just the meat Never again I'll order here for delivery, I gave them to stars cause food arrive in 20 minutes to hotel.

Awesome Mexican food! Seattle has a shortage of good Mexican food, so Yakima is a good alternative. The menu is expansive, food is very tasty, and portions generous. Their fried icecream dessert was delicious. The atmosphere is very festive with the brick and stone work on the walls, cactus chandeliers, and live Mexican karaoke. We arrived in Yakima at 10:00pm and this place was busy, with people still coming in. Its great that its open until 12! My only complaint is that its literally on the other side of the tracks. I'd come back to try other things on their menu.

    Tamale & chili relano combination.

I was here on business and decided to check out El Mirador. It was a Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 pm (I had skipped lunch) and to my surprise I was not the only late-luncher. The lunch special had ended at 3 pm, so I went ahead and ordered a 2 combination platter with a Tamale and Chile Relleno. While waiting, I was served warm refried beans, chips, and salsa - just enough spice but not too hot on the salsa. The 2 combination platter was huge! In fact, a slice of tomato topped with quacamole came without extra cost (bonus). My only disappointment was with the Chile Relleno - it was chewy. The egg batter was mixed with cheese and over-fried to the point it was chewy and tough - difficutly to get to the soft pepper inside. The tamale was only so-so (shredded beef). Tamale could have been a little fresher. Took the rice, beans, and chips home for a snack later. Overall, it is average tasting, nice decorative atmosphere, lots of food, friendly help, but perhaps just order a simple taco or burrito to raise the stars rating on this one.

By the time we got there (around 7:30) it was busy already, but we didn't wait much for the table. We ordered the special of the house, El Mirador Special. While we waited for the food, we were offered some freebies (tortillas). The dish is a great deal, only 23 bucks and it's good for two, I really mean it, it's a lot! Over all I recommend this place.

Came on a lovely late spring day. We had our dog with us and they let us sit on the patio, which…read morewas nice. They even brought out an umbrella to keep us a bit shaded from the sun. They brought out refreshing cups of water, chips and 6 types of salsa, while we reviewed the menu. The "chips" are actually whole corn tortillas fried! So you use them whole or break them into chips yourself. My guess on the salsas are: salsa verde (tomatillo), avocado, pico de gallo, a smoky ancho, a citrusy habanero, and something else. They all had distinct flavors and a little light spice, but we wanted spicier. They brought out the "no way Jose" sauce and warned us it's their spiciest and it sneaks up on ya! We tried it and found it was not burning but quite nice. We drizzled this sauce all over our food. It was the most flavorful of the bunch. The menu is quite extensive, with everything from sopas to sopes, tortas to tacos, cocktails to desserts. We each got a plate of food, meaning the main entree comes with Mexican red rice and refried beans. I got the sopita (aka sope) with barbacoa and a fish taco and husband got a dipped torta (I forget the name) filled with adobada. The amount of food and meat was quite generous, the toppings (veggies) too. I really enjoyed my sope - it had the perfect crispy crust and I could taste the slightly sweet creamy taste of the masa. The barbacoa was not as flavorful as I thought it would be. It was more like stewed beef meat. It was fine but I was expecting really deep flavor. The fish taco seemed freshly grilled and was moist, but there was a bit of a "fishy" smell and flavor that kind of took over. Thankfully, the generous veggie toppings and fresh handmade corn tortilla and salsas helped mask the flavor. Have to hand it to them that those tortillas are really good! The Mexican rice was perfect. I haven't had that flavor and texture in Mexican rice in a while and thought that was well done. The refried beans were good but also had a flavor I couldn't place my finger on... My husband said everything was really good on his plate. His torta was massive! Really flavorful and stacked with things. The adobada was very tasty. I wish I ordered that meat instead of the barbacoa and fish. Overall pretty good Mexican food, generous portions, really sweet service. The interior is also really clean and nicely decorated. They have a small parking lot out back.

We ordered from the lunch menu offered Monday-Friday. What a great deal! We both ordered the Carne Asada plate for just under $16! The kids menu was also affordable at $6.50. The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch. The restaurant is medium sized with adequate parking out front, and if things get busy, there's plenty of overflow in the adjacent Fred Meyer lot. The restaurant is in the middle of the strip mall just north of Fred Meyer. My spouse ordered the Avocado Tostada, which was generously sized and clearly delicious--he ate more than usual. It came with rice and refried beans, both well prepared. I used to order the Cheese/Onion Enchilada plate, which includes two enchiladas plus rice and beans, and I'd always end up taking half home (never quite the same reheated). Since my appetite is smaller, I now ask for just one cheese/onion enchilada on its own. The staff never blinks at the request, and my husband happily shares a bit of his refried beans with me. My meal was perfection. Definitely worth checking out. It's not the most extraordinary Mexican food in the area, but it's always very good--better than we can make at home--and that's why we keep coming back.

There were three of us dining, and when our food came out, only two meals were delivered. We waited patiently and a second server came and noticed we had not received our third meal. He went to the kitchen and had conversation with the staff, and one of the servers had delivered our third meal to another table so two of us only had our dinner and we started to eat. One of the guests in our party went to open their burrito, and there was no meat in it, and it was specifically a beef burrito. Another server came again took the burrito back to the kitchen, and it was the wrong order. They made a new burrito and by this time the third entrée came out so we essentially all ate our dinner at different times because they were not delivered at the same time which was awkward. When the bill came the one entrée that was delivered correctly was overcharged and there was no mention of an up charge for a cream sauce on the enchilada. I questioned the server and she explained that the cream sauce was more expensive. I have no problem with an upcharge if it's listed on the menu. The prices at this restaurant are a little high. The food was just OK. I shared my experience with the person that recommended this restaurant and they were shocked as they dine in there regularly. I hope this was just an off night for them, but based on my experience, I would not return.
