Excellent tacos!! The food was hot and served fast. Loved the cheese dip and the beer was cold. Highly recommend coming here! read more

El Mazatlan - Really good steak tacos! - Mexican Near Me - Mount Olive, North Carolina

El Mazatlan - This place was amazing and let me just say they were all so sweet and kind all very much greeting. This is agua chile it's a 10/10 ! - Mexican Near Me - Mount Olive, North Carolina

Called in an order to find out the ACP was twice the cost of a previous visit. I last visited probably a year ago. I know why now. I asked for Chicken ACP with flour tortillas. The person on the phone asked me if I wanted flour tortillas or corn. I said flour. When I arrived and then took my food home, I found that I received steak ACP and corn tortilla chips mixed with it. Thanks for the steak though it was like leather. The hostess explained the price increase was due to new management. If they gonna raise the price at least make the food good. Then to top it off I cannot get anyone to answer my calls. I would not be here if not for that. This was actually the worst $20.28 I ever spent. read more

El Mazatlan - ACP with absolutely nothing I ordered. - Mexican Near Me - Mount Olive, North Carolina

Fast service, large selection of all your favorite Mexican lunch specials and dinners. Plenty of crispy chips and good salsa come quickly and complimentary. Our order came correct, hot, generous and delicious. Priced right. For Mount Olive it's one of my favorite places to eat. The restaurant is casual and well worn. Floors were a bit slick on this rainy day. Felt greasy slippery. read more

My daughter used to go to this place when she was in college but it was in a different location. She wanted to go back and try it again while visiting me. It was a Saturday afternoon and sad to say there was only one table of 4 in the place. Our waitress was very friendly and seated us as soon as she saw us. We started off with the White cheese dip. It was good. I had the tacos Carne Asada (3) at $7.50 but I swear the menu said $5.50 because it was just the tacos, no rice and beans. They are generous with the meat but it had no flavor and was dry. I had to squeeze lime on it, salt it, and add salsa. I asked for pico gailo and they charged me $2. Daughter got extra sour cream for $1. My daughter was disappointed and did not eat all her Burrito fajita. She said it was just okay. But she lives in California and you can't find good Mexican food anywhere but there. The sad thing is that it looks good but is not. Sorry but we will not be back. read more

Great food and love how the inside looks never really had any issues since going there

friendly service awesome food and atmosphere. Just bought a home here in mt olive. This will definatley be one of our spots to EAT.

I've eaten here a few times since there is limited restaurants in Mount Olive. Tonight I did Taco Tuesday. Taco meat had no seasoning but what can you expect for $.99 tacos. Probably won't be back for Taco Tuesday!! The other times I've come for lunch meals in lunch special seem to be just ok but salty. Not sure if my taste are just expecting more from a Mexican restaurant but then again it's Mount Olive! read more

This place is seriously nasty. Service is ok, not great. Food had clearly been cooked hours ago then warmed up in the microwave. Just so bad. Have to pay at the front of the restaurant, server doesn't tell you. Over priced for how gross it is. Also no margaritas?? Don't go here. It's the worst Mexican I have ever had. read more

Great restaurant, family owned and operated in Mount Olive NC. Food is absolutely delicious and their new management is on point. Come in and see for yourself, you wont be disappointed! Food is fresh, customer service is on point, and you will be treated like family. Kudos to the owner for deciding on what's best for the business. From their quality of fresh ingredients to their sexy and fast point of sale system, to their lighting and ambiance, and of course, their staff. Everything works beautifully in synchrony, to bring you the best experience Wake Forest has to offer. We will be back!! read more

Ordered lunch special at 1:10. Finished our meal & finally got check. The waitress was also serving as the cashier. When paying she said lunch special time was over. She said we would have to pay regular price because we were paying after 2:00. Never heard this one before. So the moral of this story is , I don't eat there at anytime of the day with friends or just my wife and I. I'm done ! ! Leonard Downes read more

Whatever happened here was for the best. After not eating here for several years we decided to give it a try again. So glad we did. Its so much better than it had previously become. I don't know what changed but they don't need to change anything else. read more

This place has been on wral news for inspection gone bad. I don't suggest it but if that's what you want to eat go right ahead.. I have personally heard so many bad reviews it's not even funny read more

The servers were very pleasant and the food was served quickly. Unfortunately, it was the absolute worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. Ever. The enchilada sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce (I even gave my friend a taste, who confirmed it tasted like spaghetti sauce). The tamale had that distinctive "microwave" flavor from being heated quickly (and it was that weird fluffy, hard texture you get from a microwave). We stopped here on our way through town while on a road trip and I have to say, I feel sorry for people living in this town if this is your idea of a Mexican restaurant. Oof... read more

Great food and service! I would reccomend to anyone passing by or that lives near. Love this place

Looks like most Mexican restaurants in the area, nothing out of the way. The service is okay. You get value for the price, and the food is tasty. I have not been very adventurous with their menu quite yet but I am open to trying new options soon. The steak salad was great and a very large portion of steak and salad. Mostly eat the beef burrito with beans and rice and it is very filling. Stop by and checck them out for yourself read more

This my goto Mexican restaurant. The food is excellent and they have special during the week. Even at 1/2 capacity, just to say thanks to their customers. Just good people. read more

Everyone in Mount Olive goes crazy about this place, and I've never understood why. When I lived in NC, I used to think that I hated Mexican food. I've since moved to Tucson Arizona and discovered that I don't hate Mexican food, but that the kind that El Mazatlan has is sub-par. Its dry, tasteless and they overload everything with salsa in an attempt to make it edible. read more

This place is a good quality Mexican style restaurant. It is authentic and the seating area is well maintained. The prices are pretty reasonable, my chicken, cheese , rice and dish was delicious and a portion big enough to take some home. They provide salsa and chips to start. When it's slow, the service is quick, though a bit delayed when the place is packed for lunch. The staff is pretty attentive, friendly and professional. A good lunch or dinner locsrik read more

Nothing stands out here. Menu needs some simplifying (it's overwhelming). Left my to go Coke & went back for it (just stepped outside when I remembered I left it on my table) but lady cleaning my table has already cleared it. I asked her if I can have my the go cup, she said I should look for my waiter and ask him for it (huh?!). A well-trained staff would have gotten me a to go cup with no questions asked. For that reason they get two stars. read more

This used to be our "go to" place near home to eat. However, the past 6mos or so it seems like the quality of food and service has gone downhill. Went tonight for supper and they forgot my hubby's salad fixings for his fajitas and his fajitas were cool when they arrived to the table. My chimichangas were good, though. The cook offered to fix him a new plate, but, by the time the waitress came back to ask how our food was, I was half finished. They did take $2 off our food, but it's the third time we have eaten there and got cold fajitas. read more

Chili relleno was cold in the middle. Beans were ground into a slurry. Probably One the most mediocre meal, I have ever had a Mexican restaurant. Don't stop. Keep driving. read more

These were the rudest wait staff I have ever seen. They food was awful. Tacos salad was swimming in yucky sauce. Carne Assada was cold and tasteless. Don't waste your time on this place. read more

This restaurant was amazing about 15 years ago then it moved to Mt. Olive which I firmly believe is the place where all horrid tasteless overpriced restaurants live. While the food used to be very good and the prices decent it now is just tasteless bland and overpriced. Not worth the time or the money wasted on it. read more

This place is great. We eat here at least once a week because it is one of the few local eateries in this area. The staff is friendly and my three year old little boy loves their chips and salsa! I recommend the chicken fajitas and the cheese dip. I think this place is owned by the same people that own El Mazatlan in Clinton, NC. The two restaurants are worlds apart though. We have never been happy with a meal at the Clinton location so we drive over to Mt. Olive for lunch and dinner instead. They may use the same recipes, but the food is so much better in Mt. Olive. The staff is wonderful too! read more

Acp, is amazing friendly staff. Quick service. Eat here at least once a week food is that good.

We use to go to this place right much but not any more! We came in around 4pm on a Saturday and was waited on fairly quick and got our drinks and chips like usual. Placed an order for our kids so theirs would be cooled down by the time my husband and I got ours. Our waiter was good until a crowd of (what we think was) a Mexican Church group come in and then we were not even thought of any more. Our food took forever to come out and when it did finally come to us it was like it had just been took out of the refirgerater! So the guy at the cash regester noticed we were not happy and had some other waiter to come over to check on us. He took our food and said he would make it right......yeah, he made it right...put it right in the microwave and heated it up! It was hot when it come back to the table but so dry and covered with more salty cheese. No discount, only a we sorry, we make it right next time! .....but NO there will not be a next time for us!! If I wanted some food throwed in the microwave, I would of stayed home and not of payed $10 or more a plate for it! read more
