Thank you for another excellent lunch today at El Mariachi!! The restaurant is great, the Fajita salad was amazing and the service is outstanding. Chaka is a tremendous waiter, professional and very helpful with everything, including menu selection ideas! I will ask for him every time I go to El Mariachi. read more

Stoped in for a late lunch and the sign as you walk in says Birria Wednesdays so when I seen they had the Burrito I just had to try it. The Burrito was filled with Beans, Rice, Onions, Cilantro, cheese and shredded beef.. The service as always is very good and the wait staff are always very friendly. Jose and the kitchen crew have really outdone themselves when it comes to the flavor and amount of shredded beef stuffed into the Burrito. The restaurant is always clean and pretty organized. read more

Great foods and I lover to eat steak , shrimp and chicken fitijais there and still go there when I am mood smile

Passing through and stopped here for supper. The service is amazing!! The chips are fresh and warm. The salsa is plain and boring, dr it up with some salt and pepper and maybe a little of the Valentina that's on the table, but if you ask for some spicy salsa they have it and it's very good and flavorful but they will charge you for it. The cheese dip is good. The flour tortillas are a bit thick. The rice was not real fresh or maybe just been sitting. It was just real dry. The El Patron was ok but be aware they barely put any cheese on it even tho the description says covered in cheese. . I will say this place is average and I would come back but it wouldn't be a favorite. read more

El mariachi is the best Mexican restaurant here, food is excellent and great attentive servers, also portions are plentiful and prices are very reasonable!! read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town (and that's saying something because there's lots of them) the food is above average but the environment is perfect. It really feels like you're in a fiesta in Mexico. The staff are extremely friendly and are quite personable. Perfect for visiting with family and friends. read more

May not be the most fancy place but not many options in this town. Came here for a quick bite at the end of a long trip. The soup was great on a cold night and the salsa had just the right amount of heat. Will be back for the great value. read more

The food is reliably delicious each time we go there. Service is always very good, with the staff being friendly and kind. The decor and ambiance is very nice. We go there often, and invite others to join us there. We recommend them to everyone who enjoys Tex-Mex food. It's wonderful! It isn't California-Mex or NM-Mex, because the flavors are quite different with these. We really enjoy Tex-Mex best. Viva El Mariachi! read more

After a morning of touring different places, I was getting hangry. This was across the street from the last place I visited, so it was an easy decision to make. Plenty of parking, seated just after coming in. Food came out quickly, fresh and hot. Tea was perfectly sweetened. No complaints. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. read more

We tried this place for the first time today. Let me tell you it want be the last. The food was so delicious and the waitress very fantastic. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. Hands down the best hot tamales I have had in a very long time. Great job to all the staff for doing a fantastic job. My husband got a shrimp dish that was loaded with shrimp that was so good. Sorry I don't remember the name of it. read more

We love the food and atmosphere of ElMariachi!! Jose and Johnny always ensure awesome food and great service!!

A hostess seats you upon walking in. We waited close to 10 minutes to be seated. Numerous waitresses walked past and never said a word. Such as "someone will be with you ASAP or in a few minutes". Even after being seated it took a good while before our server came. The staff appeared to be working very hard. Maybe understaffed. Service was poor time wise but the staff was friendly and did bring anything you needed. Food was fair. Not bad but not great either. Portions were very generous and affordable. For four of us it was $52 and we all ate until stuffed and still had food left. Interior of restaurant was clean. Does have some wear and tear but overall clean and festive. read more

Me and my husband went by tonight to grab dinner and I just want to say the service was incredible as always. Arturo was absolutely incredible! He was one of the best servers I've ever had going there. read more

Randomly stopped here for dinner - food is SO good, especially compared to other Mexican restaurants in and around the local areas.

My wife's favorite Mexican place in the area. The wait staff are always nice and the food is always fresh.

Lunchtime came and it was our first visit to Mississippi. I scanned the local restaurant options and decided to try El Mariachi. We weren't disappointed. Very good food at reasonable prices. Great choice! Awesome service, too! read more

Yum, yum, yum. I wish I lived closer. They have the best appetizer platter. It is seriously so much food and tastes like heaven!!

We , all 4 of us, really enjoyed the food. They dont skip on nothing and it was large portions, very fresh

Great food and service! We like the chicken fajitas and poblano peppers. Generous portions.

I am from out of town but come from an area with great TexMex food. This place would have a tough time competing there but I realize there are not a lot of choices in this area. The place is very clean and the service is very friendly. The food is OK but not great. We just had the limited lunch menu a couple of days in a row. Perhaps the full dinner menu has some delicious choices. read more

Eh. It's not great, but it's not the worst. They have a mondo burrito that's pretty good. Fajitas were 10% meat & 90% onion & pepper. Chips & salsa are quite tasty. We popped in valentines evening with a group of 6. I think they were getting ready to close within the hour. It was pretty dead. Only saw one waiter & he seemed a bit lost...but he seemed to be trying. Good prices. read more

Don't have any idea how their food tastes as we never got that far. Yes, it is Cinco de Mayo and yes they are slammed, but be honest about wait times. Don't say it will be fifteen minutes when you know it will be 45 or more. Had a grandson who needed to get to work. Poor management. read more

I found this place by accident and since have been back twice. I've always found it difficult to find good places to eat in picayune. This place is hidden behind a building and next to an abandoned warehouse. They do a very reasonably priced lunch menu and the food is good and arrives quickly. The only thing I found lacking was that i couldn't get margarita :-( but that's because they were waiting on a liquor license. If your in the area this place is worth a visit. read more

El Mariachi is not only the best Mexican Picayune, but in the surrounding area! No need to drive to the Gulf Coast or over to Louisiana, this place tops them all! The chicken fajita nachos are delicious! They also have great margaritas and mudslides. Don't forget to try the cheese dip! read more

El mariachi is not as good as mi sol but their food is very good. You should give it a try

The food, service, and price was great. The portions were huge. When we got our order, we asked for go boxes before we started to eat. This review would be longer, but i'm going into a food induced nap. Brad read more

Much to my delight they crushed it. Enchiladas were on point. Got the enchiladas mexicana. Got two with al pastor and two with bistec. Not soggy and saturated. They are using Queso Bravo or white slow melt white cheese which is always delicious but can be a bit heavy for the traditional cheddar cheese lover. Salsa was crisp and fresh. Chips hot and crispy. Diet Coke was crisp and refreshing. Men's bathroom clean and stocked with Cintas soap and paper towels. As an executive chef I am hard to impress especially with my experience in authentic Mexican cuisine from my time in Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Tijuana, Durango, Michoacán and all southern borders. They did an exceptional job. Bill was $27.00 and we tipped the server $17.00. It was her 26th birthday today. She was attentive, checked on us twice, came and let me know that our food would be out in 5-7 minutes and she was exactly correct. My said paper towel dispenser in women's restroom was jammed up but she made due. Her sweet tea was perfect. Our food hot n fresh. She had the chicken fajita burrito and it was nice too. Lacked salt but we added salt and some of their fresh red salsa and it was perfect. My only complaint is that I feel every single plate deserves fresh lime wedges and some crisp thin sliced radish. Maybe some fresh cilantro for garnish. But overall food was great. Service was great. As a lover of enchiladas I can tell you that they did it better than almost all of their competitors in the southern states. I'll be back soon. We live just on the other side of the Mississippi boarder in Slidell Louisiana which is a short drive and well worth if they can deliver the same quality next time. See ya next week. Sincerely, Chef Jacob. read more
