New Location: Gorgeous. Large. Clean from what i can tell. I go every other week. But - staff badly needs service industry training including manager/owner. They are nice, but clueless. Inattentive. Food is very decent. Good complimentary salsa & charbroiled beans with chips. Sometimes chips taste burnt oil. Go for taco Tuesday a lot. Have bands & $1.50 street tacos if order minimum 4. They're good. Only Taco Tuesday deal on tacos in Slidell I've found besides Tacos & Beer (ew) $1 tacos. Drinks are overpriced. Cocktail/beer menu not detailed enough with prices or ingredient description. Margaritas 2 for 1 sometimes and on taco Tuesday BUT they are cheap syrup instead of lime juice. Then barely shaken or cold. I disliked frozen and regular. Servers aren't trained well or familiar with menu or prices so you're on your own as far as familiarizing yourself with any specials and advocating for drinks refills or literally anything else you need. Double check your bill before you pay ive been given wrong ticket for another table multiple times. They also have issues honoring Toast loyalty program with points you build up. If server cant figure it out, ask for manager... who is capable of figuring it out but doesnt want to comp you coupons if the machine doesnt do it automatically. If anyone wants vegetarian options aka grilled veggoes or something be prepared for them to completely upcharge that more than the price of meat for a few skimpy onions... no sizzling fajita veggie selection like other places. Also, always out of the tajín and candy for micheladas. Always forget the pineapples that are supposed to come on al pastor tacos. Just ask for it. PS also good $ deal on the street tacos on uber eats & door dash compared to other places. It was first time visit, decided to try the Street Tacos for lunch after seeing the pictures on Yelp. The Street Taco Plates has 5 tacos, with option to mix choice of meat. I ordered 3 Steak, 1 grilled chicken & 1 shredded chicken. My favorite was the shredded chicken, perfectly prepared, flavorful & not too dry. The grill chicken was just adequate, and the steak ones were too greasy , meat quality not too good. I probably won't order the Steak Street tacos again, but will definitely try anything with the shredded chicken?! My first dining experience was one where I felt I should have ordered something else?! The restaurant does a great job advertising the specials, such as Taco Tuesdays for $1.75 & Daily Happy Hour 1pm-6pm. We tried this spot today, had a taste for Mexican. The host wasn't really friendly. Greeted us very soft spoken and sat us down with nothing else...but we brushed it off. Restaurant was bright, colorful and vibrant. It was clean also.The booths are really big. The chips were cold, wish they were warm. The bean dip and salsa was good and fresh. The food was good. My husband had the chicken fajitas and he enjoyed it. Lots of onions and really fresh. I ordered the street tacos, which I ordered the chicken tacos, but they gave me steak. Of course I sent it back. We were not able to go to the first location before it burned down. My wife loves Mexican food and when they reopened here we decided to go for her birthday. We were not disappointed. It was fantastic. The server we had was awesome. Attentive without being overbearing. And the place was decorated beautifully. We went with a party of 8. The only pictures of food we took was that of my wife. She had Birria Tacos with a crazy drink in a bathtub. She loved it all. I had the trio fajitas and they were the best I have had in Slidell. I really think this place is beautiful since they've relocated after the fire. This was my first time visiting. I wasn't really wowed by the food but the service was great. They just reopened, so it wasn't busy. We ordered the Street tacos. I was disappointed in them. We ordered chicken, steak and birria. The steak and the birria tacos were tough to chew and the chicken didn't really have much flavor. We also got a tiny portion of churro beans. It was litterally a plastic shot cup size. The churro beans were delicious though. There was also a half of a potato on the plate. The presentation was pretty but the flavor and portions weren't really impressive imo. read more

The Street tacos were great! Actually almost everything was great, the only negative was the tortilla chips, they were very greasy and they only covered one third of the dish they were served in way to few for two adults who like the chips with salsa. read more

This was our first time and it won't be our last. The restaurant was decorated so cute with all the colors and even a selfie wall. We were seated right away by a very nice hostess. Waitress was not enthused about being there. Ordered a five street taco meal thought is should be enough for the wife and I. Brought out some three inch taco with the most bland and dried out steak I have ever seen. Must have been cooked a couple of days ago. NO FLAVOUR what soever. I have never had such dry meat. I was Las Morritas' last customer on Gauze the day it burned down, so I have been looking forward to them re-opening. I ordered the same thing--the Chilles Rellenos plate and my favorite Mexican drink Horchata. My meal was aces. My buddy had the chicken fajitas plate and said it couldn't have been any better. So this place is newer. It was my servers first day on the job. I ordered chilli rellenos with just cheese but it came with ground meat. It was also missing the cheese sauce on top as the menu described. She immediately brought me some cheese sauce. Simple mistake. I felt the rellenos cud have had more flavor. The batter or something was bland and too thick. I'm glad they added the meat bc it gave it more flavor. It was a huge portion for a reasonable price. I absolutely loved the refried beans with jalapeño in them served with the chips! So good. The chips were good but not my favorite of the Mexican places. A little thicker than I care for. Average Mexican food. Chips and salsa were fine, nothing special. I saw a loaded baked potato on the menu "melted cheese and butter topped with your choice of meat, cilantro, onions, guacamole, and sour cream" and ordered that, envisioning a big baked potato with all of the toppings. What I was brought was potato salad with onions and al pastor, there was no guacamole. Very unappealing and not at all as advertised.
