Booths were roomy. Ordered the Al pastor quesadilla. A little bit different presentation than I was expecting but the flavor was great! I wa expecting pineapple flavor or chunks. Being Cinco de Mayo we decided to pursue some local Mexican fare. We found this eatery easily on…read moreMain St with a parking space out front. On entering there were a small number of booths and some tables. It was lunch time and I expected the place to be hopping, but patronage was steady. We were brought the requisite complimentary salsa and chips. Both were acceptable with the salsa having a slight kick. We ordered an unsweet tea and a raspberry tea. They looked to come from a fountain dispenser but I found it nicely brewed and was offered a refill. The menu was extensive with a lengthy list of lunch specials. I asked to substitute a green chicken chili enchilada for a cheese enchilada and was refused. This is the sole reason for taking away a star. I ended up with 2 cheese enchiladas with a sweet green chili sauce. The rice and beans were both very nice. The enchiladas were tasty. The total for both meals and 2 teas with tax was, wait for it... $21! Yes, just $21 so I ended up tipping just over 30%. The tip went into a tip jar I guess they will split. We were attended by 3 servers, all very nice and attentive. If not for the unwillingness to substitute cheese for chicken on the enchilada this little eatery could get 5 stars for everything else they did well. We left very satisfied and very glad we found a little place to patronize for Cinco de Mayo.

The owner and staff were not only pleasant, but super informative, patient and made certain we got what we ordered. Two items fell off our original handwritten order while being transferred to a new ticket (honest mistake), and when we told them we were missing the items, they were extremely kind and cooked them right up. Keep in mind this place offers fresh authentic Mexican food, but I noticed a bit of Puerto Rican sabor! Lastly, don't let the neighboring Pizza Hut/gas station nearby fool you. We witnessed a family run business with steady traffic as we waited for our order, and a Mexican eatery with the sweetest Spanish style booths! I wish this eatery was in my neighborhood! We just might need to take a very specific route on our next roadtrip so we can visit House of Tacos again! So good! Thank you to the owner, staff and chef(s) for such a great lunch experience during a very long roadtrip!

On a long walk of town on one day of my trip, it worked out that this one was open for lunch and I got to try it. It ended up being a favorite of my visit and I ended up eating here twice. The first time for lunch I stuck to the specials menu and had the chimichanga. It's served with rice and beans, plus fresh veggies and salsas. All salsas and sauces are made homemade and fresh, which is a huge draw of this place. Portion sizes are generous for the price, and flavor was great. Their hot sauces are also homemade: a mild red one and a hot creamy green one. Try both for sure! On the second visit, I had a burrito. I also dined with a friend who was impressed as well. They also have a menu of non-Mexican inspired dishes, so there's something for everyone here. The interior is open and bright, with booths and tables. Both times the server was super friendly and welcoming, very attentive through the visits. Parking is out back.
