Get. The. Empanadas. We got three different kinds and they were all delicious. We got chicken, beef, and beef with cheese. We also got plaintains with beef (another win) and beef stew with yellow rice (also delicious). Try their homemade hot sauce blend at the counter. It's definitely hot but has good flavor. They cannot cook. They need to taste the food as they go. I wrote a bad review once before and got laid out by them. They should have reached out to try and keep me as a customer. NEVER will i go back and will discourage anyone from eating there. read more

The WORST RICE & BEANS I've ever had! ZERO flavor and the customer service wasn't that welcoming at all.. flan didn't have flavor either. Coming from a long trip no bathroom to wash hands,an the chicken was dry as well! The decor is cute. It reminds me of restaurants in San Juan. The place also looks very clean. The lady at the register was nice, I felt that she was friendly as compared to other reviews. The food: I ordered Pernil and Arroz con Gandules to go. It's a nice portion size also comes with a salad (lettuce, a slice of tomato and a pink dressing that I didn't like too much) The pernil was extremely salty and the rice was okay. I enjoyed it, just wish there wasn't so much salt. I also had alcapurria which I felt was a little burnt and I ordered "shrimp patty". It was basically a shrimp empanada. To my surprise there wasn't really a latin flair to it, It was more like a shrimp scampi empanada. It was pretty good though. It satisfied my craving for some spanish food but it wasn't as good as the spots in NY. read more

Never ever have had a bad meal here, no matter what time of day or day of the week, it's always good. The chef is the owner, food is consistent, I always bring friends , family and coworkers here. It's very small inside, not a typical restaurant seating so you may arrive and not be able to eat in. But if you're looking for typical Puerto Rican food, this is the spot. I am a mofongo pernil addict and I love chuleta fritas. They do both very well. This time I just did not like the sauce for the mofongo but that's my personal thoughts. The reason for not giving five stars is that this is the 2nd time the female cashiers seemed to be preoccupied with who I suppose familiars. This time the young lady left me at the register to go talk to someone. It was brief but it's obvious I noticed the departure of attention. I grabbed pepper from another table because mine did not have it. I don't eat a lot of Arroz so I did not order it this time but I wasn't asked if I wanted it and I believe it was supposed to come with it. It's okay I will get over it. Excellent restaurant and the puertorican food is beautiful and delicious . The crab empanada (pastelillo) the beef empanada , the shrimp Empanada were delicious . The place is. CUte and not big. Food was really good and tasty but the young girl in the front has ZERO costumer service skills. She does not greet with a smile, does not make small tall, and does not thank u for ur business. All she does is give u the menu (w/o saying a word) and then tells u it will $3 to use MasterCard or $1 for Visa payments... when i checked my bill after paying with my card i noticed she had charge me for an extra sorullo, so what does she do? Pulls $1.50 from her wallets and hands it to me w/o saying a word. How about an apology? Is not big deal but again, COSTUMER SERVICE! Very ugly and bad attitude to have as the face of the restaurant. The food is ok but no the best . Little bit expensive for the amount of food you get. The Pernil (pork leg) need more sazón (seasoning). The Mofongo is a bit dry and need some kind of mojito (sauce). Tripleta Sandwich to small for the price I can get a bigger cheesesteak for the same price. Service very slow need to improve a lot. Also no catering or delivery provide which is a big booo!!! I eat here once a week mainly because of how good the rice is. I seem to notice that when establishments make rice in smaller pots the outcome is way better. I love the fast service too since my time is limited and the fact they are open earlier then most places. By the most part the food has been very pleasing the last couple times and would def. recommend and come back. By far this is my favorite puerto rican resturant in the area. Finding this place was a tad tricky but once you have been here several times it gets easy. The parking is easy too since most of the time it's empty. The young girl who is the daughter of the owner has such a nasty attitude. Everytime I call to order over the phone she is always rushing you off the phone. She never let's you finish your order. And when you get their to pick up the food she still has an attitude and Lord forbid you tell her to be nicer. She really gets smart with you. I think their food is good. The food is ok. I go once a month because it's convenient. That said, the customer service sucks. They are not friendly, at least not to me. I'm never greeted as a customer. The owner is there but never says a word no greeting, nothing. It's almost like I'm not there and im doing THEM a favor buying their food. They can use a customer service course. I am more likely to go more often if their service didn't make me feel so unwelcome. It's a shame because I really am doing my best to support my fellow Puerto Ricans in the community. If it continues I guess I'll go get food at the Dominican places...and im sure the owner wouldn't even care. read more
