The food was very disappointing. The fajitas appeared to have been cooked much earlier in the day and remained in a crock-pot type setting as the meat and vegetables were extremely soupy and lacking flavor. This transferred also to their fajita nachos, which created a soggy concoction. The service was good and staff tried to make my order right by allowing me to get another entree, but unfortunately the fajita meat impacted the replacement entree. Wednesday was the Margarita special so I, of course, had to test one out. The drink was huge and a great deal for $4. As usual, in a Mexican restaurant, I ate way too many chips before the meal came. I liked that each person got their own salsa dipping bowl. I got the chicken chimichanga. I asked for the cheese sauce on the side and they brought out this huge bowl of cheese that we used to dip chips into. Yum. The chimi was good. Refried beans and rice served on the side. We were seated right away, the staff was friendly and we got chips and salsa immediately (the mark of any good Mexican place.) Admittedly, I was rather skeptical about eating "Missouri Mexican food" during my visit to Maryville, but this cuisine was legit! I think they should open one in San Diego! Normally when you walk in to a Mexican restaurant you get an authentic Mexican vibe, but at this one it is just dingy and looks like an old Chinese restaurant. The food is okay but not worth the price. If you don't eat Mexican a lot this might be okay but I recommend finding somewhere else. read more

Friendly staff, good service, and what I've tried from the menu was tasty. If you've been to the St. Joseph location, you've pretty much got the scoop. This location has pretty wide open seating, with high capacity. I visited once during a heavy work load, and was not left waiting long for anything. If I were asked if anything at all seemed off to me, I might mention the lighting. Seemed kind of bright and uneven. Like I mentioned, it's a big area, mixing florescent with incandescent may be the issue. At any rate, I wasn't disappointed.
