Great food and great service. We eat here several times per year. We just drove 40 miles just to eat here.

Went for a late lunch. I had the seafood chimmy and hubby had chilli rellenos. Both were excellent. Service was excellent. We spend winters in Az 100's of Mexican restaurants. Very happy to find quality Mexican this far north. Mexican ranch dressing was very good. The sauce over the Chimmy was also excellent. It's was a creamy rich flavorful sauce. Will definitely return. The menu was huge. So hard to choose from all that was offered. Prices were well with range. The servings large. Plenty to take home for a second meal. read more

They have really good food, their portions are big enough I usually take home half my meal. The prices are good. They keep the restaurant very clean as well. The staff is friendly even with the language barrier. read more

So, I decided to give mexican lunch a go today. Let's start with the arrival. I walk in the door and there are a ton of paper take out menus lined up next to a bunch of bottles of hand sanitizer. I am approached by an employee wearing a mask. He takes my order, and tells me in about 10-15 minutes it should be done. I go to wait in my car. And at exactly the 10 minute mark he walks out of the door and brings me my food. Bam! Car service. Awesome. I ordered the Queso Fundido Supreme as an appetizer. The gentleman taking my order told me it was the queso fundido but with peppers and onions. I figured why not, sounds like a super chip dip. They are fajita style vegetables. Definitely not ideal for chip dipping. It does come with some flour tortillas to make it into tacos. Good flavor, good start, but definitely wasn't what I was expecting. As far as my chips went, the house salsa was a medium-hot. Very good, I wish I had more than the one small cup they gave. I had extra guacamole at home, so it was a non-issue. I ordered and entree for dinner and one for lunch at work tomorrow. First up, I ordered the Vallarta chimichanga. It was basically fajita vegetables, steak, and chicken wrapped up into a burrito and covered in sauce. It was pretty good, but after having the Supreme queso, it was too much of a similar theme with fajita style veggies and meats. I got it was yellow Mexican rice and beans, neither of which was too bland. It was large and very filling. I wish it was a bit more crunchy, or deep fried longer. My midnight snack that I ordered was two chicken tamales. They were great. Not undercooked and had a good amount of filling. Lastly, my day after entree was the enchiladas poblanas. Two chicken enchiladas covered in poblano/red-brown sauce. After devouring this one on my short lunch break, I think it might be what I get next time or some variant of. It reheated well, the rice and beans were still good. With the guacamole salad that came with it, I didn't have any complaints. read more

They have a very large menu with limited vegetarian options and no vegan options. This is NOT authentic Mexican food and if bland would be considered a flavor, then they excel at that. They bring you out a basket of chips along with salsa aka tomato sauce with absolutely no seasoning and a bowl of "cheese dip" which really means white unflavorful sauce with a few green flecks of not sure what for color. I asked if they had a spicy salsa and she asked me "Habanero?" and I said "YES!!!" She brought me out a large bowl of habanero salsa and it was really good and without it, the food would have been unpalatable for me to eat. I ordered cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. This is the first time in my life that cheese enchiladas were filled with cream cheese and no other type of cheese. The enchiladas were topped with enchilada sauce that looked exactly like Campbell's Tomato Soup and tasted like it too. I'm pretty certain this was their version of enchilada sauce. The rice and beans were your typical rice and beans so no complaint there. My mom ordered a chili relleno and she said it was the worst one she ever had and she wasn't to sure what she was eating. Her relleno was also topped with the Campbell's tomato soup enchilada sauce. read more

Delicious Mexican Food. We were seated very quickly, got warm chips and 2 different salsa dips. Blended lime Margarita was very tasty. Ordered chicken quesadilla, with rice or beans, lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. The food was quickly prepared and pleasingly presented. It was delicious and hot. Service was very friendly and visited our table frequently to ask if everything was okay or if we needed or wanted anything else. My lunch meal was $9.99. Restaurant was neat and clean. Bathrooms were clean and available for handicapped persons. I give it a 5 star rating and will go there again. One couple was there and told me they had been there every day this week! Lots of space and nice seating arrangements read more

This was a pretty disappointing visit. There seemed to be so much confusion from both myself and the waiter that overall, it's an experience that will most likely not have me returning. Initially after being sat I was given chip and salsa. Pretty normal right? Well here you get ranch also. You read that correctly, you get the choice of dipping your chips into ranch. I ordered chilaquilas ( a dish not found everywhere) and a chicken quesadilla directly pointing to the only photo of one on the menu. When the quesadilla came, it was alone on a plate and simply a folded over tortilla presented uncut (not a huge deal, I had silverware) and without salsa or sour cream which the picture showed. It came off kind of lazy and not representative of the photo at all. I asked for a side of sour cream for the quesadilla and was given a bowl full of it - again, you read that correct. My chilaquilas were ruined by runny cheese poured all over it (not common) and the quesadilla was fine. They put tomatoes in everything including mixed into the rice. When my bill arrived I was charged $1.50 for my bowl of sour cream. That was the tipping point of dissatisfaction. I asked about the charge at the register and the waiter came over to say I ordered my quesadilla on the side and the one in the photo was a supreme. Like I said in the beginning, just so much confusion. The charge was removed and I anxiously left. There is another Mexican restaurant directly across the street. I only share that to say you have a choice and mine is not to return. read more

STAY AWAY I have been here four times now and I have gotten FOOD POISONING twice. The first time I thought it was just a fluke but it wasn't apparently. Not quite sure what is going on behind the scenes here but I would stay away. On a positive note, the food at least tasted good and they give you a good portion size. read more

Been here about 5 times now and haven't had the same dish twice. Yet to be disappointed. Service has always been outstanding. Authentic southern Mexican food up north. Margaritas are fantastic. Pleased to see they've recently added on a nice sized outdoor patio for outdoor dining to be open in about two weeks. Nicely situated along the southeast side. read more

First time visit to El Loro. Was busy but had excellent service. Love their wide menu. Food was excellent.

I normally don't give bad reviews. The service here was terrible. The food order was wrong, the food tasted burnt, the drink orders were wrong and it took over 30 mins to get a beer and the place wasn't even busy. I wouldn't go there again.. read more

Not the best. Service was good but the food was meh. It almost tasted like frozen dinners you could buy at the store and just warm up. Had to spend a lot of time on the toilet afterwards. read more

Great food, generous portions and wait staff that's friendly and hospital. One of my top 5 places to eat in TRF.

They flavors never disappoint here, the staff are always friendly, and I feel that the prices are good. They have a section of the menu that is vegetarian friendly and I appreciate that as well since a lot of places only have 1 or 2 vegetarian options. read more
