a close up of a drink in a glass

I got a few drinks with no ice. When I got them they all had ice. I asked if they could change them. She got upset and supposedly she had fixed my drinks but the Jamaica was half frozen ice and the rest actual Jamaica. They half attitudes and make it seem like we are asking for too much when they get the order wrong and they have to fix it. If I wanted a slushy I would've gone somewhere that sales slushy's but I just wanted some Jamaica with no ice.

Thanks for the rock you guys left in my beans...

I decided to go there since my fav taco place was closed on Tuesdays just to take a big bite in my beans and chew on a rock... first and last time going here

This place is a true hidden gem! I originally lived in S. California and this place can go head-to-head with any of the top mom and pop spots there. The service is great and the food is excellent. The carne asada was so flavorful as well as the chicken. I highly recommend this spot!

Ok, this review is 5 stars to try to address what I think is an undeserved 3 star overall rating…read more Los Mariachis serves excellent, authentic Mexican food along with excellent Tex-Mex. I lived in the north Dallas area for 39 years and have visited the gambit of outstanding Mexican restaurants before moving to Florida and experiencing the epitome of mediocre or just plain bad. We come to Fairburn once a year at most for the Florida Renaissance Festival. This is our go-to restaurant for dinner from the day we arrive until our final evening here. I haven't had a single menu item that I've been disappointed with to-date. I've had fajitas, enchiladas, and authentic Mexican. The music on weekend evenings is loud. You need to arrive early or be prepared to wait for a table. Seating is perhaps a bit limited for how many people I've seen waiting for their seats. The 22 oz margaritas hit the spot after an 8-hour drive and check-in to the hotel next door. I can recommend the tableside guacamole for starters and the chicken poblano as a meal if you love authentic Mexican food.

Our server, Joey, really stood out. He took the time to educate us on the drinks, had a great personality, and made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. We even got into some good conversation--he mentioned he's originally from Oklahoma--which added a nice personal touch. The drinks were phenomenal. They were strong, well-balanced, and refreshing. I had the horchata, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. I also tried a classic margarita with tajín on the rim--it was strong in a good way and very refreshing. Definitely one of the highlights of the visit. The food itself was flavorful and well-seasoned. I ordered the steak and lobster with mashed potatoes. Everything tasted great, and you can tell they put care into the preparation. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is due to a couple of issues. I asked for my steak medium, but it came out well done, and there was a hair in my mashed potatoes. That said, the way the staff handled it really impressed me. They were extremely apologetic and quickly replaced my entire meal without hesitation. The second steak actually came out even better than the first. Mistakes happen, and what really matters is how a restaurant responds--and they handled it very well. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely come back.

LoL!! La Costa Tacos y Mariscos sits in the strip mall behind the BP. The location is in the back corner so make sure you're on the lookout for it as it's possible to pass it by accident... I walked in taking in the authentic cultural ambiance. The location is small, however, they made great use of the space. There are a few High Top 2 seaters towards the front and some booth style seating towards the back. As I explored the menu I was pleased to see the variety of options. There is something for any food needing mood. I decided on the #1 which is 2 Tacos with Rice and Beans. Please note, the beans are Refried Beans and not the usual Black beans I'm accustomed to being served as a side. I chose to go with the Steak Tacos and I am pleased with my decision. To note, the tacos only come with the corn shell. The steak was perfectly done and well seasoned. The tacos are meaty and very filling. The tacos alone get a 7/10 from me. They really carried the combo for me... The rice was rice. Nothing special about it, minimal seasoning but goes well mixed with the beans or added to the taco. The rice by itself gets a 3/10 from me. The refried beans were standard and used as an additive to my rice and filler to my tacos. LoL!! The salsa provided was mild and fresh. It had the authentic salsa flavoring and went great with everything on my plate. The service was pleasant and friendly, and the establishment was super clean. Overall, I would recommend La Costa Tacos y Mariscos if you are in the mood for Mexican and want it quick. I would use this as a lunch pick up option when in the area.

They're fast and efficient, the salsa's fresh the chips are crisp. They're accommodating to changes that you would like.... Like I substituted beans for rice and a chicken Verde enchilada for a regular chicken enchilada on my combo plate. The chicken quesadillas are huge. And be aware that the fajita carnitas is not cut up. I can't wait to go back and try the Heurvos Rancheros for breakfast. I'm not a big fan of refried beans, but theirs were delish and my memory of the best Heurvos Rancheros I ever had was on top of delicious refried beans that were fresh.

It took awhile to figure out what we wanted, but we were given fresh chips and salsa right away to curb some hunger while we decided. Any Mexican place that gives complimentary chips and salsa gets extra points in my book. Our server was on top of checking on us and she was super nice. As you can see from our picture, we got a decent spread. I saw complaints on here prior about meat costing extra, well, in my case, it made sense. I wanted all the yummy that came with the veggie burrito, but also wanted meat. For the amount of meat in my burrito, I think the extra charge was a little much, but it was delicious, so I'm not complaining. The amount of meat on the Texas nachos my husband ordered could have used more meat though. The chips to meat to cheese to topping ratio was off, but we made it work.
