A burger aficionado, enthusiast, dare I say expert (with a specialty in eating them, much more than making them). The founder of this incredible spot had a restaurant back in the day called Top Burger where they served AMAZING burgers made with Kobe beef, bison, ostrich, lamb, wild boar, among others amazing cuts of meat and sides that were cooked to perfection (special spot as it was where I took my wife for our first date). During that date I found out that the chef graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (believe me, it showed). Later in life I saw this place back when it was a Food Truck parked in its current location and was pleased to learn that it was the same chef embarking on his new culinary adventure. One bite into his creation and I knew I found my new favorite spot. From the Yambupleta (burger based on the local Tripleta sandwich), to the Yambertino (burger with Argentinian sausage, chimichurri sause, and if memory serves me right provolone), to his weekly creations of fried sushi/eggroll concoctions, with a side of sweet potato fries or "arroz mamposteao" (if they still have it, order that!) EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!!!

Was caught a bit off guard by the fact that I was in Guaynabo and I was the only one there speaking in Spanish, but I digress... Ordered a two patty burger and received a one patty burger. Spoke to the guy in the front and he corrected it immediately, even though he had actually billed me for a single, which was awesome. Got it with mushrooms, onions and cheese. The burger meat itself was a bit of a miss taste wise. I can't say exactly what it is, but it just didn't feel like it tasted right. Also, the mushrooms were not entirely cooked through and tasted funky. Not a place I would go to again, as nice and trendy as it looks.

It came with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and their Social sauce. I got it double meat and it was delicious. My wife got the BAD Burger. It had maple syrup, bacon, fried egg, hash brown, and grilled onions. It was also good, but we agreed the Social burger was better. This was a case of simpler was better. You can also build your own burger if you prefer. They don't have a kids menu so this is the best option of you have kids or picky eaters ( or the plain hot dog). My wife also got the chocolate milkshake. Damn good milkshake. I went with one of their beers. They have a nice selection of beers. The fries were also very good. Their default fries are the hand cut fries but you can also ask for curly fries, as well as sweet potato fries and onion rings. We lived in LA for some years, so when we saw they had Animal Style Fries, we ordered them. It's their take on In-N-Out's animal style fries. They were excellent. Portion sizes for the fries are big. The animal style fries were good for 2-3 people. Even the small fries we got for our son was big. We will definitely be repeat customers. I also learned they recently opened a second location in Condado.

They have an extremely limited amount of parking in there so just park on the street. We arrived around 645PM and the back spots were already taken...Plus there is a car cleaning service on the back side of the restaurant. When you walk out of restaurant you might have to walk through cars being power washed. Service was excellent. The waitress brought waters over right away and seemed to Check in on us frequently. Food was mediocre.. it was extremely greasy and nothing special. The parrillero dog had delicious flavors but it was swimming in grease on the serving tray. I know hot dogs are greasy but this was a lot. The town fries were subpar and would have been better if the fries weren't from frozen. The coco mojitos IMO tasted like artificial coconut flavored syrup with cream (I've had better). Some in the group ordered the chicken town fries on sweet potatoes and liked them. Another in the group got a veggie burger that was not satisfied with it. To sum it up it's just another average local burger place.

Seating is covered outdoors. For how hot it was, it was quite pleasant while we were there. Decor is deck-style bar and grill. Pricing was about expected for the type and amount of food. We started with a coconut Mojito, which was delicious but seemed lacking of alcohol. We ordered the Ring Burger with sweet potato fries and the Parrillero Burger with original fries. The fries were of standard quality. Frozen and deep fried, rather than fresh. They were fine. The burgers were very ample, juicy, and tasted good. I didn't care for the chorizo on the Parrillero burger but it was still tasty. The onion rings on the Ring burger were breaded, whereas I prefer them battered, but it was still tasty as well. Overall, a pretty good place for a burger but a bit standard on flavors. Pricing for the amount of food is about expected. Service was attentive and good. I feel this place is a solid 4 stars with room to grow.
