He also recommended the restaurant "restaurant Elias" where hotel guests received 20% off food. The restaurant was very nice and their food was authentic Greek food. Would highly recommend staying at Athos and eating at restaurant Elias.

Also, there's a lot of outdoor seating in a nice garden / patio, which is quite a great experience. The food is delicious.. I can't seem to get enough of their tzaziki with a few extra orders of pita bread.. and of the several main meat dishes we've tried, we have never been disappointed. The people there have always been very courteous and pleasant. It's a nice place to go whenever you're having a craving for really decent greek food.
