I came to the shopping center to get my nails done and decided to pass by for some Carnitas and some meat for dinner. Well, as always, it's hard to find a good place to get Mexican food and meat. I recommend that you check everything very well just in case I bought two things that were almost expired and completely rotten not to mention their produce looked about 30 seconds to expiration. I should've known better when I saw the no refund sign but against my better judgment I ended up spending $75 almost on spoiled tortillas bad salsa, and some questionable meat. Basically skip this place unless you just Getting Carnitas. I will never go back again, Mold in your tortillas is unacceptable. Do better! read more

Only reason I come here is the guacamole chips chicharrones. And the butcher in the back is the nicest man... The owner however is rude and they price gouge on everything in this store. I came here to buy limes i bought 5 limes he charged me $5.27 a dollar a lime ? Stater brothers is .33 a lime ... I liked coming him here because it's so close to home and convenient but honestly not worth it anymore with how much they charge here I'd rather go to stater brothers across the street. read more

I was put up on game about this shop some 5-6 years ago. The best meat within a 40 mile radius for sure. The salsa verde is really good. The rest of the store is pricier and not really worth shopping for. Only come here for the meat! Whenever I have a bbq or go to one I always have meat from this place and always get asked where little gem is at. read more

Best Chicharrones ever! Of course I'm Saturday and Sunday mornings only. Their chips are ok but their green avocado salsa is delicious. Yes the place is not very welcoming and it's not owned by Hispanics. I think Indian or middle eastern owner. They do over charge on minor things like bags and add random tax so just be vigilant a d have a tab before you pay. read more

This an independently owned market . Been here a couple of times to try their Meat. The Carne Asada is pretty good currently @$9.99 lb. Price could be lower though. They also have marinated riblets which are also tasty . Carnitas , Chicken and Milanesa are also available but did not try . There's a small fridge by the meat counter with different types of fresh & guacamole salsas. I was charged about $4.95 for the smallest container they had which i though was a little over priced. The store is kind of dated and they have a small selection of vegetables but no prime selection. The only thing that really stands out is the guy working behind the meat counter , positive vibes and very attentive to the customers . It's a hole in the wall. A little "corner store" carniceria hidden behind a gas station... I've never perused the aisles of the store, but this is the best carne asada you will find for miles. The chicken, both dark and white meat is also great, but the carne is an a total knockout. People who would say otherwise likely overcook their meat, and to those horrible people I would say, save your money and just get some thin sliced cut of beef that is dirt cheap. It's all the same when you burn it. Now let me step off my soapbox to say that you also have some delicious salsas to choose from as well. On busy weekends like super bowl weekend, you'll even find all the salsas out on ice for you to sample. read more

Shady. The cashier over charged me for my meat product. I brought it to his attention he said it was taxes, but on the receipt it said "no tax." The extra money fee was put under the meat price. He got angry when I brought it his attention. I asked why not show as a tax on the receipt. He said it was just put under the product I bought. So shady. read more

I've been to a couple different carnicerias but this place has a pretty good selection of meat, ribs, pork, chicken, and sausages. Its a little hole in the wall place off of central. I told the manager and he said "I know but they are fine" I said maybe if it was a couple of days but this is August and all of them were dated in June!!! The best meat market I have ever been too! Must try the carne asada ya preparada, pollo ya preparado and my favorite las costllitas preparadas. They gave a good selection of salsas and guacamole. Saturday's and Sunday's they have carnitas, buche and chicharon. It's a Carniceria but also a little supermarket. My parents drive from Los Angeles to Montclair to come buy our meat for when we bbq. The seasoning for the beef and chicken is really good! Whenever we get this meat and bring it back to grill in LA, the family that comes over always comments on the good seasoning. If you are looking for good Mexican style marinated skirt steak or "carne asada" this place is really great. The cuts of meat are really good - lean and large.
