I got a half of a rotisserie chicken that came with two sides rice and beans and plantains. The chicken was flavorful and cooked well through and through. The rice was really good and the beans added a nice extra flavor and touch. I loved their salsa de criolla (which are amongst one of my favorites). The sweet plantains were perfect!!

Came here with my Husband for Lunch. Ive been on the hunt for some really good Peruvian since my favorite spot shut its doors due to a fire. Ok.... so first off, they have their own parking which is always a plus. As soon as we walked in. My Husband and I were greeted super politely by two ladies. They quickly sat us down. I opted two sit on one side of the room but the lady said since we were two I had two sit in a table for two. I was apprehensive since there were ppl there and although it was 6 ft apart I don't like the idea of eating within close proximity to anyone these days. On top of which business seemed slow. It was a rainy day and highly doubt a bigger party was going to walk in and I was right. As we were scoping out the place, the floor, tables, establishment in general seemed immaculate. I love how simple yet classy the decor was. It was very inviting to say the least and they were playing Salsa music in the background which I love. The waitress started by taking our drink order. She brought out some Maíz tostado and green sauce. I quickly told her we will be needing more green sauce she said that once we finish that one she will bring more. I was like this lady does not know how obsessed I am with Green Sauce. If im asking you for more is because I'll need more. Charge me, do whatever, just bring me more. Plus you all make this in bulk 2 extra ounces will not make a difference. I was like ok... fine. We both ordered half a chicken with fries and salad $12.95. Portion was nice and the price was reasonable. Our orders came out and the food looked great. I didn't like the plate the food was served because it was too small and my food was falling off on the table. It becomes a mess especially when your trying to cut your chicken. I put Green sauce all over and then hailed the waitress down to get me some more sauce for my husband. Duh.... I told you this from the get. Those 2-3 ounces were not going to cut it. I also told her to get me another plate to put my chicken bones. The Food! Personally I don't think the Chicken was all that. While the skin was flavorful, the chicken did not have the same flavor throughout. The chicken was not tender and soft and it wasn't juicy. Actually it was rather dry. Fries and salad were good. Salad looked fresh. The green sauce might need just a tad bit of heat. They put way too much lime on it. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best Ive had. I ordered some jugo the Maracuya and that was good. This place makes it their business to advertise nicely and it shows. I found them on FB and the food looked exquisite. Im going to give them another try but will order something else and update my review. I took away one star for the chicken and another star for plating, being cheap with green sauce, and seating.

Was really excited to try new food places near our area. This one seems to attract people daily so we thought why not try it. Their prices seem high when you look at their menu, but for the portion they give you it kinda makes sense. We dined in, got our orders, and got quickly disappointed by how tough their meat is. It was hard cutting it with the knife and even harder to chew.. I only liked the pasta that came with my dish, but I feel like I can make that at home myself. Hope they can make it better next time.

Steak and paste with cheese soooooo good!

Very tasty food and pretty fast service. In and out in 45 mins and we had appetizers and meal. The ceviche was really good too.

    Excellent ceviche!!

I HAVE SERIOUS CONCERNS ABOUT HOW THE GREEN SAUCE IS HANDLED…read more I sat down to eat here twice this summer. I had the chicken, rice and beans, and obviously it came with the green sauce. When I was ready to pack up my food, I asked for a container so I could take my leftover green sauce with me, and the waitress told me that I could not take the green sauce. I couldn't understand that for the life of me. Why wouldn't a customer be allowed to take the sauce that came with their meal? Because I found that so strange, I started paying attention to what was happening with the green sauce whenever I came into the restaurant. The last two times I was there, I personally watched a waiter and a waitress take the ceramic bowls containing the green sauce and use the small spoon that comes with the bowl to pick out what appeared to be pieces of food from the sauce. They then took the bowls to the back. I don't know what they do with the sauce after they take it to the back, and I'm not claiming that I know what happens to it. But seeing employees picking pieces of food out of the green sauce that had been sitting on a customer's table and then taking the bowl to the back made me very uncomfortable. At that point, I started wondering if this is why customers aren't allowed to take their leftover green sauce home. Listen, the chicken is good. The yellow rice being mixed with white rice is confusing to me, but the chicken itself is good. However, after personally witnessing what I described above, I no longer feel comfortable eating the beans, rice, or especially the green sauce there. And that really bothers me because the green sauce actually tastes really good. But now it grosses me out. Sometimes when I eat chicken, I'll dip the chicken into the green sauce, take a bite, and dip it again because it's my food and my sauce. So naturally, seeing food particles being picked out of a sauce bowl that had been sitting on a customer's table made me question the food-handling practices. I'm not saying that I know what they do with the sauce after it goes into the back. I'm telling you what I personally saw. There are way too many Peruvian restaurants for me to spend my money somewhere when I've personally witnessed something that makes me uncomfortable about their food-handling practices. I would really like an explanation from management as to what happens to the green sauce after it is returned from a customer's table and why customers are not permitted to take their leftover sauce home. That's my concern. I saw what I saw, and it made me uncomfortable enough that I don't trust the green sauce anymore.

Recently I had a hankering for a Rotisserie chicken and some Maduros so I decided to make a special trip. Pasion has its own parking lot (but I wound up parking in the Dollar Tree lot next door since I went shopping there too). Pasion is not the...most elegant looking restaurant. It looks rather old and aged (I do not know what year it actually opened). It's also oddly dim inside. Most of the interior is dedicated to seating and the counter where you order is towards the back. There is a bathroom off to the side. I ordered my food from a very nice lady and it came out rather quickly. When I got home I was surprised to find the chicken cut in a rather...rustic fashion. I'm used to rotisserie chickens cut into four, equal sized pieces but this was cut up into six pieces of varying sizes. Sadly, the chicken was rather dry but the green sauce that came with it was super tasty and spicy so dipping it into the sauce helped a lot. The Maduros were...not great. They had a bit of an oily taste to them that I've never tasted in Maduros before. It wasn't very pleasant. Based on other reviews here this place seems to have its fans and that's cool. This is a mom and pop business and I believe in supporting local businesses. I'm glad I tried this place, but I likely won't be gong back.

Decided to try it and when we arrived it was empty with street parking. It was a Tuesday night and pretty cold which is why I'm guessing no one was there. Lots of seating options, bathrooms were clean and they had a big screen of music playing. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders and food orders right away. We got the chicken and anticuchos along with chicha morada. Food came out fast and the plates were huge. Waitress was very attentive and brought out all the sauces, extra napkins and was on sight in case we needed anything. Food was great, cooked how we asked for it and potatoes were not burnt. I was happy with my order and experience and recommend this place.

You'll feel like a true painter armed with the plate as your palette. When I received my meal, the waitress even double-checked to make sure all the sauces were all full. It is among the most generous and deeply rooted, with traditions reaching back to the Incas, a wealth of beautiful indigenous ingredients and culinary influences from Spain, Japan, Italy, Africa and China. Like food everywhere today, there is a new style of Peruvian cuisine emerging--so-called nueva comida--forged by Lima's leading chefs like Gaston Acurio and Pedro Miguel Schiaffino. Situated on a busy N Wood Avenue in Linden, some of my colleagues came to this establishment for lunch after a three-year hiatus. A reservation was made by calling into Stancia Peruvian Fusion Restaurant. Upon arrival, our table was ready inside a modern, well-decorated space with music blasting like a lounge to evoke a summer celebratory vibe. The menu is a bit fancier than other Peruvian eateries. We began with a jar of their homemade drink, Chicha Morada, made of purple corn, pineapple, lime, cinnamon and cloves described as fruity and tangy. As appetizers to share, we decided on Piqueo Stancia, Chalaquitas de Scallops, Calamar Frito, and Mini Papas-Rellenas. As the main dish, we opted for Pescado A Lo Macho (Corvina), Quinoa Chaufa with Scallops, Tacu Tacu con Lomo Saltado, Quinoa Chaufa with Shrimps, Quinoa Chaufa with Salmon, Tacu Tacu with Chicken, Pachamanca, and Arroz Chaufa de Pollo. Complimentary roasted corn accompanied the aji verde spicy hot green sauce that started our meal. Each dish is a work of art, not just in presentation but in the authentic flavor not too overpowering, it remained exquisite with a sizeable portion. This restaurant continues to impress us every time with their consistency and good customer service. Stancia has incredible food and a beautiful space, two things many restaurants struggle to get right. All boxes checked.
