Excellent Catering Experience -- Highly Recommend!…read more We hired Tacos Calafia Catering for my birthday celebration at our home and had an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end! The food was delicious, fresh, and a huge hit with our guests. Everthing well organized and spotless. So many people commented throughout the evening on how good everything was, and just a few days later, one of my friends was already asking me for their contact information so she could recommend them for another event. That says it all! Alex and Adán provided excellent service. They were professional, friendly, organized, and made everything so easy for us as hosts. It was such a pleasure having them be part of our celebration. Our family just moved to Arizona in January, so we are still discovering local businesses we can trust, and Tacos Calafia is definitely one we will happily use again and recommend to our friends. Great food, great service, and wonderful people. There is a reason they have so many excellent reviews online -- they deserve them! Thank you, Alex, Adán, and the Tacos Calafia team for helping make my birthday such a special evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent taco catering in Arizona!

Copper State Kitchen performed outstanding in bringing the Chef to our home for our 40th…read moreAnniversary. My wife and I love to cook and have prepared some outstanding meals at home over our 40 years together. We have extensively traveled and lived throughout the world and as such developed pallets for superb cuisine from all over. As we grew older we gleaned the best of what we enjoy and developed them into our own cooking skills. My wife being Korean born refined her cooking skills in the eastern cuisine like Korean, Japanese, Thailand, and others while I have refined my skills with French and Italian. Prescott is a beautiful place to live but its culinary basis is built on sawdust. We usually cook for ourselves if we want a top notch meal. Now the past several years I have been confined to a wheelchair and transport is very limited. We used to spend winters in Hawaii where we could get great quality meals and seafood whether we prepared them or went out. So our 40th! I wanted to do something special for my wife since I have not been living up to my end of our culinary relationship being confined to a wheelchair. Thus I started seeking out a Chef that would come to our home with his staff and prepare a custom made meal for us. I selected Chef Thomas and Copper State Kitchen. I started by a rather lengthy discussion via phone and followed up with sending Chef Thomas some of our favorite recipes, sufficient for him to develop a five-course meal for us. Chef Thomas is very professional and easy to work with. We refined the meal over the next two days we agreed on the following proposed menu; I supplied the wines. Amuse-Bouche * Fig Jam, Blue Cheese, Red Wine Poached Pear & Arugula Crostini Starter * Prime Rib Poke with sesame crunch and microgreens and pipkuala aioli (based on my deconstruction of the infamous Tiki Bar in Waikiki dish) Pasta Course * Lobster Tagliatelle in a Champagne Cream Sauce Main Course * Beef Wellington with foie gras and red wine demi-glace Dessert * Crème Brûlée (torched table-side) Wine Pairings * Santa Margarita Prosecco DOCG * Domaine Salmon Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc * Tenuta de Sesta Brunello di Montalcino 1996 * Chateau Rieussec 1st Grand Cru Classe 1863 Sauternes 2004 Every course was perfect and very enjoyable. And they cleaned the kitchen meeting my wife's expectations. I highly recommend Copper State Kitchen for your personal culinary experience to celebrate your special occasions.

When Chef Jacqueline Cotoia catered a special birthday dinner for my wife, we were so enchanted by…read morethe meal that we knew she was the only choice for our next gathering: a family dinner honoring everyone with a September or October birthday. Handing the menu over to her for twelve guests lifted a tremendous weight off our shoulders and let us simply enjoy the company of the people we love. Together we designed a menu that read like a love letter to autumn: peach glazed pork loin, creamy macaroni and cheese, tricolored carrots and asparagus in a luscious butter herb glaze, green beans with toasted pecan slivers, a vibrant autumn green salad with cranberries and crisp apples in a berry vinaigrette, and warm, flaky croissants. On the evening of the dinner, Chef Jacqueline arrived with elegant warming trays and had everything beautifully set up at exactly the agreed-upon time. Then came the food, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The pork was tender, succulent, and seasoned to perfection, its peach glaze a sweet and savory delight. Every side was a worthy companion to the main course, balanced and thoughtfully prepared. As Chef Jacqueline proudly shared with our guests, everything is made by hand. There is no boxed macaroni and cheese here, and you can taste the difference in every bite. Our guests raved about the meal all evening, and by the end there was hardly a morsel left. Chef Jacqueline brings talent, care, and professionalism to every plate, and we could not recommend her more highly. If you have an occasion to celebrate, call Cotoia Catering. You will not be disappointed.

A fellow Phoenician on Threads suggested Amici and I am so glad that I followed that suggestion. Lori was truly lovely to work with and didn't make me feel ignorant about the process even though I 100% was. They came into our house stocked like the Marines ready to get it done. They prepared passed appetizers for an hour and then did a plated meal. Delicious and so elevated! LisaBeth was our main server and she made sure those with allergies were given TLC and she managed our water, ice, and wine table with precision. They were kind enough to do all of the dishes even though we had not paid for that time. I think a first time planner should know that there will be additional fees for staff and large rentals (chafing dishes, etc.). I didn't factor this in at the beginning but, of course, it totally made sense. I only wish I had a life where I had more catered events coming up as everything was so lovely and now I want to try all of the foods that I didn't have the opportunity to add to our event menu.
