My very first time in Ensenada, and this was our first stop. We actually randomly stopped here because everyone was so hungry. You do have to wait in two different lines to order the different types of meat. Although you do have to be a bit ruthless when getting your orders because other local people will ignore that you're patiently waiting there and cut you. They have only two different meats (I think) Well I got one carne asada and two spicy adobada with all the toppings. They are about $1.25 US dollars each. They were pretty good, but not amazing. Meat could be more tender. They also sell drinks and poletas (ice cream). And they have tables and benches for you to sit at. And lots of radishes and limes! Overall, a pretty good spot for some quick grub. read more

I keep giving this place chances but they're super inconsistent which any chef knows is a big problem, never have lengua even though its on the menu, terrible organization, and the taco guys are not necessarily rude but the whole staff has the personality of a plastic bag. Do yourself a favor and go next door to el trailero. read more

Only giving this place 1 star so I can complain about the piece of s### service I experienced. After waiting in line for close to 10 minutes for some adobada tacos to go, I get pulled out of line from one of the female employees to "help take my order", that's fine. I told her I wanted 9 adobada tacos to go, in three orders: 3 tacos each. She gives me a bag and tells me I can help myself to some lemon and radishes, etc. I go help myself and I see the taquero starting to serve the person who was in line behind me. So I ask the female employee why is my order not being worked on. I told her it's not fair that she pulled me out of line and now I have to wait for people behind me to get served. She asked the taquero to work on my order. I told him I want my meat cooked on the "plancha", and he told me that this was not possible. I asked him why not? I had just seen him do this for another customer while I was waiting in line. He just shook his head no. I asked him are you refusing to serve my food the way I am requesting? And he said yes. I was furious I told the female employee that this was ridiculous! I waited in line just like everyone else! I asked her who was in charge here, but of course, they weren't at the site, and she said, "well he is the taquero and I cant tell him anything." Needless to say, I demanded my money be back. She still had the nerve to ask me for my receipt. Really? This place is ridiculous. They lack customer service! Whoever owns this place should really consider hiring people who actually treat your customers right so that they may want to return. read more

This place is so freaking good! It is a mandatory stop when on your way further south chasing surf. Even if there isn't surf it is worth it. The tacos al pastor are the best, but everything else is awesome too, my Lithuanian buddy has seriously tried it all. I'm sitting here thinking about this place...their tacos are like nothing I've ever had! I go there every few months and have them for every other meal for at least 3 days. When I get home and talk about these tacos I get a little emotional--ask anyone (my hand dramatically goes to my face) lol. You know when you bite into something insanely delicious, and the second bite is great, but not ever as good as the first? That NEVER happens here. I've tested it --each and every bite is as good as the first. I think the reason I've never reviewed it before is because I don't want it to turn into a hipster sensation...but I decided that I had to share with those that truly look for the best! read more

Wow, I can't believe this place wasn't on Yelp yet! The tacos here are amazing. I always get adobada. They are not expensive, and they're filling-- 2 tacos is usually enough for me, 3 if I'm really hungry. The staff here are very friendly, too. It's easy to get to off the highway and is a frequent stop for us on our way back to the border. Note: if you don't like your food very spicy, be sure to mention this when you order so they hold off on their super-hot sauce. read more

AL pastor tacos is where it's at!!! It didn't get 5 starts because Service is a bit slow and the waiters and waitress messed up both times we went two consecutive days in a row. We were taken to this taqueria at the end of a Carnival cruise brewery excursion. Oh my - awesome tacos, great salsa, excellent service, budget priced. Plenty of tables and pretty clean. Friendly staff. Convenient location right on the main highway just a little to the north end of Ensenada. Plus, ate a several tacos, sampled the salsas, and even bought tamarind candy on the way out, and had no tummy issues! Wonderful! read more

The food is incredible. The food came out super fast. The server was rude. First she told us to sit down to take our order. We were trying to look at he menu in the wall. She had a serious look. My wife asked her why so serious and ignored us. Every tin we asked for something she rolled her eyes. My son found a long hair under his plate certainly be strategically placed there.
