Service is good, and all employees are super friendly and accommodating. I just recently tried their Guacamole, which is made fresh and is Delicious, also fresh made in-house tortilla chips, adding more pics from my most recent visit

Best Mexican food I've had so far in Aurora! My husband Arrachera Gratinada and I had the tampiqueña both were delicious! The meat is soo tender! Everything is so full of flavor! Big bang for your buck! The serving size is enough to fill you up.

Shredded beef & a shrimp taco

The food wasn't bad at all. It could've used a bit more flavor. All in all the food was good & presented nicely. Just be careful when you get the bill. We were charged for a few items that we didn't order. I'm sure it was a mistake but it took quite a while to get it resolved because I don't speak Spanish. The margarita was very delicious. So, it's definitely worth a try.

This is my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in the area - and there are a TON of great options. Whether picking up food to go or eating in, I have never had a bad experience with Taqueria Muniz. For years, I got the same order of a steak torta because it is so delicious and I found myself craving them and had to return. Recently, me and my husband have started to order outside of our usual selections when visiting this restaurant, and we have not found an option on the menu that we have been disappointed in. My most recent order was a steak chimichanga and it was amazing. Their red and green hot sauces are both awesome. The service is always quick and courteous. The atmosphere is nice and simple. There is a half wall running down the middle of the restaurant so it feels a little more private when you are dining in. They serve soft drinks by the can instead of with a fountain. They don't serve alcohol.

Chips are half burned half decent.

Taqueria Muniz has opened a smaller location off Rt. 25. The old location of Tacos Maria's which was one of my favorite locations for Mexican food, breakfast, lunch or dinner. When I first arrived the atmosphere had changed completely. The outdoor patio was gone, the walls repainted, I was excited. But when we got inside although things got a big upgrade the staff was very confused about what bacon was. I used to order bacon egg and cheese tacos before. I understood they didn't have any so we tried steak egg and cheese tacos. Our waitress didnt even know what Orange Juice was and asked us if Orange Crush was a better option. The food was served and to our surprise there was hair in the food. The chips and salsa they served were partially burnt. The salsa was the only great feature to this small, depressing hole in the wall. Please give this place a little bit more time, the wait staff are very inexperienced, and the cook is very unprofessional. Wearing gloves and hair net out onto floor and touching register.

Guacamole. This was the large serving. Very fresh!

Walking into the restaurant you notice it is not fancy but it is clean. Super clean. Greeting by friendly hostess/server. Food came out super fast and was quite good. Although not specifically on the menu, they were happy to make me a veggie chimichanga. Food is not spicy but you can add heat with their sauces. Really enjoyable experience-we will be back.

I really like this restaurant. The food is good, and the service is also good. I have told many of my co-workers about this place and they order from here frequently as well now. I use to only go to Fajitas Mexican Restaurant in Lagrange for Mexican food. That was the only mexican restaurant that i trusted. I'm from romeoville and bolingbrook, and i haven't had a good experience with el burrito loco in bolingbrook and Ruby's burrito's in romeoville is even more racist towards black people. So if my mexican family members didn't cook dinner at they're house. I'll would just eat a salad or I'll go all the way to lagrange for Mexican food (i love mexican food) but i found this place, because it is close to my job and i like it. I feel comfortable here.

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

There was a line when we got there (around noon) which I feel is usually a sign of tasty food. The tortilla chips were so yummy with a flavorful seasoning and delicious salsa. My first visit to La Birria Loca…read more I was initially expecting a sit-down restaurant, but it turned out to be carry-out only, with a few picnic tables in the back for seating. That was a surprise at first, but we made it work. One thing that caught me off guard was the pricing. When ordering, I was asked if I wanted pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole, but it wasn't clear these were additional charges. I assumed they came with the meal. Three orders plus drinks ended up being over $100, which was unexpected. I did have to double-check the receipt, and to their credit, the staff quickly removed the extra charges once I brought it up and told him I didn't need pico, sour cream and gaucamole. Our tab still came to $87 for the 3 entrees with drinks. Despite that, the food itself was very tasty. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, and we were genuinely surprised at how good it was. Consume was one the best I've had hands down. They portion sizes are well worth it. Their hot sauces were also excellent, with spice levels clearly labeled by number, which made it fun to try different heat levels. Overall, even with the confusion around pricing and setup, I would definitely come back again for the food.

The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.
