Got there 30 minutes after opening and still sweeping from night before. Had scallops, rellenos, and margaritas. Scallops and margaritas were real good. Rellenos not so good. I didn't reach the chili until my 5th bite - up until then it was just egg. I didn't notice cheese inside the chili. The shape of each relleno looked like it was baked in an oven mold - almost like made in advance. The wait staff were good and friendly. read more

Horrible! Chili Rellenos was the smallest chili surrounded by a huge amount of dough. The cheese enchilada was the same dough surrounding a tough piece of cheese that was not melted in the least! both went into the garbage! will go to El Patrillo in the future! 10000% better! read more

As a Hispanic the food is decent, it's not authentic Mexican food. Service is friendly nd clean restaurant. I had the erradero burrito & tasted a little to salty, to much oil in the "chili" they put around it. But definitely won't stop here next time I come down to Oregon. read more

To give this so called eatery one star is way way too much. Unfortunately I can't give it a lower rating. I was pass'in thru Ontario and hooked up with a friend. We used to drink outta the same bottle. We decided to go get some eats. He wants ta go to this Mex restaurant he claims is the heat. When my buddy and I drove up and I saw the name of the place, I bumps gums wit my pal and says, lets pass on this joint, some amigos of mine got food poisoned at one of these Erradero joints in La Grande a few years back. He insists this is a different restaurant and so forth. So, even though I don't mind being rude, I decides to give it a whirl. I mean yas can always send back sucky food right? It's an old and not very cheery place. I normally eat Mexican food at the Fiesta Guadalajara in Ontario. I eats there because there isn't a Mexican restaurant in Ontario in the same ball park period. Not in service, not in food, not in hospitality. Anyone that says different got marbles in their head. I been eat'in there for about 30 years give or take. It's always the same there, superior. The jerk that took us to a table was some unfriendly dumb bunny. He seated us, threw some menus on the table, brought some stale chips and marginal salsa, that was the last we saw of his butt. He walked by a couple times without speaking, seated some other customers etc. After about 15 or 20 minutes I was done. Told my pal I wouldn't eat anything out of fear what was taking so long, who knows what was going on in the kitchen. I sez, lets dust on outta here, I'm hungry and I want to eat in this millenium. We left. I won't set a boot in another El Erradero restaurant. Why would anyone want to try and eat here? The staff isn't pleasant or friendly at all. There isn't any ambience. Someone would have to take an order from a customer and bring something to eat to be a restaurant. But, they don't bother doing that here. I don't know how the food is, the cat that gets paid to take orders never took ours. I'm glad really, I never wanted to risk eating in any El Erradero after what happened to my friends. But hey! You do what you want, it's your cabbage, spend it as you like, I do. This for sure, I won't be spending any of it here, nope not ever. read more

Not a bad spot for a quick bite. We were headed to Oregon and this town was on the way. After packed sandwiches and rest area tuna we needed real food. Strangely my dad was craving Caldo de Res, which is NOT easy to find (we called all Mexican places) so we settled for this place after giving up. They ordered a plate that had steak, chicken and shrimp, with the beans and rice and guacamole. They both loved it and finished it all off. I ordered the tacos callejeros (carne asada tacos with rice and beans) and it did the trick. Meat was good, not as generous as I'd expect for a dinner place but it was enough. Rice and beans were standard fare, overall it was good. They had negra modelo so extra points for that! Overall the food was 3.0 on the 5 scale for me, I wouldn't plan to go back (clearly since I live thousands of miles away) but I wouldn't say no to another helping of tacos, but that doesn't quite say much as I rarely complain about tacos. Not bad, but I'd hate to think this is the best Oregon has to offer. read more

The only reason I'm giving three stars is because the food is very good, BUT the service was absolutely awful. We sat ourselves at a dirty table and were noticed by staff. We waited for at least 15 minutes until we were visited . We grabbed menus ourselves.Once again we waited a long time to receive the drinks and chips. We ate all the chips and salsa, then waited again to have our food order placed. When we asked for more chips and salsa, the server acted bothered. Our food came out at a reasonable time, but we didn't have silverware to the eat the food with. When i asked the back of the kitchen for silverware, the server who was waiting our table giggled-hopefully out of embarrassment. We were never offered refills on drinks or asked if our food was satisfactory. Our check was never brought to the table. Maybe we we're supposed to get the check at register, but we'll never know for sure. It was some of the worst and careless service I've ever experienced. The food was good, which is probably this restaurant's saving grace. What's surprising is that even though there were only 2 other tables with guests, we still waited and were neglected. My wife and I are not very sensitive customers and we have to be pretty neglected to complain.... read more

Service was good, but this was not the best Mexican I've ever had. I ordered the street tacos. They were very greasy. One order is supposed to be three tacos, and while there were three shells, the meat in all three combined was barely enough to fill one taco shell. The servers were very friendly, but if you're looking for a good Mexican fix, look elsewhere. read more

We go here once a week. Love their food and never had a problem with the service. Really like their Salsa & Good Margaritas... Lately it has been just to go food due to COVID-19 shut downs, I think they could improve on the packaging for those orders. I.e. putting hard shell tacos in same dish with beans. Taco is a wet mess by the time you get home. Otherwise I really enjoy their food. read more

When we decide to eat Mexican this is the place. Best in town. My wife gets a 30 min lunch break so we often stop in here. Great menu and delicious food wait time is never long. Price isn't terrible no more or less than any other spot but my wife always leaves with extra. read more

I've been fortunate to be able to travel around and try a lot of different food, and of all the Mexican restaurants I've been to this one has the best tasting food. This is our favorite restaurant to go to in Ontario. Amazing food, fantastic service. Salsa is very tasty, they are happy to make odd food combinations (my son is a weirdo) and their beans are superb. A very welcoming atmosphere and easy to read menu. Very descriptive so that you know what to expect on your plate without having to be an expert. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and since we come in so often the manager knows us by heart. This place is a lot cheaper than fiesta Guadalajara on Main Street which seems to be everyone's favorite but I think you get better food at a cheaper price. Their salsa is also way better (no huge chunks of Tomatoes and nothing else) Plus it's not as big so you get taken care of better here than you do at fiesta. read more
