I had a small order (4 trusses)-they got right on it, verified all dimensions and had them ready in 2 days-just as promised

This company has zero ethics. They were caught red-handed making a backroom deal with our general contractor to overcharge us at least 1300 dollars that they were to split... Needless to say, the contractor (Dan Edelman, Prime Cut Construction) was fired and we immediately canceled the truss order. We found went a very fine company in Auburn that did it within 2 weeks and a 1500 $ less. Not only was El Dorado Truss price-gounging us, but the customer service was terrible and they told us it would take 2 months. I have no idea how this company is in business. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This company first of all promised to have our trusses to us on 2 different days for which we had framers at our house ready to set them. They no showed. When we finally got delivery their truck driver broke our water pipe before ever setting a single truss. Once they were delivered only half the trusses were provided. When speaking with the owner of the company he said it was our fault even though we paid for them on our contract. We were basically extorted to get the rest of our materials and when the rest were delivered they were built at the wrong pitch. We ended up throwing those in the burn pile and paying a framer to build the rest on the roof. Once it came time for electrical we looked down the trusses and noticed all had a sag to them. When we ran a string and there was 7/8" deflection with only sheeting and comp roofing. We again spoke to the owner and he told us they were fine although in the engineering paperwork they were only supposed to have half that deflection with drywall as well. We spoke to our engineer who said this was unacceptable and needed to be fixed. The owner again said it was our fault for wanting a vault and it was a poor design. I guess he forgot it was he and his engineers who designed them in the first place. We have talked to several builders in the area who have many of the same stories. I only wish we would have spoken to them before we began our project. We have lost several thousand dollars and sleepless night because of this. I can understand when a mistake or two are made but for someone to continually blame others for their inept work is inexcusable. I don't have the words to express how poorly run this company is. Please do not do business with this company for your own sake. read more

Their customer service is below zero. They will not call you back or return emails. I own KUOP Designs and have had multiple projects in 2017 waiting on their truss calcs for approval. When i say waiting, i mean months trying to get a hold of this company. They Suck! read more

Couldn't be more disappointed in a company! If I could give them zero stars I would! We are doing a major addition to our home and building a three car garage. Decided to hire local as much as possible to support our community. So we hired this company. Little did we know they would be complete rookies. From driving the truck up our driveway to hoisting the trusses up on the roof. They had no idea what they were doing, after 4 failed delivery windows they finally arrived after 5pm one night. We had to pay two men to work overtime because they had no crew to get this done. I wrote the company asking for a solution to this very unpleasant experience and they decided they just would not respond. Great way to do business local company. Word to the wise- don't use this company for anything, they are complete rookies without a care for your property, time or your money! read more

I wish I could actually review their trusses but they have yet to arrive. This is day number 3 of them setting a delivery window and no showing. The first time I was told they were on the truck ready to go. When I called later that day the shop guy said they are still working on them?!?! We are a couple grand into wasted time (wages) and have zero faith in them following through with this next delivery window. If we were simply told that they are behind schedule or that they don't know when it would be delivered, we could at least work with that. When they say someone will call you back, you can be assured that no one is going to call you back. Extremely dishonest service with no concern for other's time and money. read more

I have no clue what the other reviews are all about. I had a wonderful experience with El Dorado Truss Co. From my first call to Ellen they were friendly, informative and helpful. The roof issue I was having was urgent, I called several times to the point that I should have annoyed them. They remained helpful and quickly took care of me. Bo was very professional and on time. read more

if you think their customer service is bad you should try working for them. they only care about the bottom line the money that ends up in their wallet. if you try to tell them about a problem at the shop the boss will tell you I don't have time for your shit. He will not listen to anything you have to say about equipment problems or logistical issues. all he cares about is what ends up in his pocket. they have bribed the county and osha with out remorse. they will cut corners on any job just to make a couple extra dollars. they are so bad at ordering materials for jobs that we have had to use bigger plates just to finish a job. sometimes we wait for days for lumber and that is why deliveries are late. they also tell us to use #2 lumber where #1 is what is required. and they will still charge the customer for #1.but I guess if you want a shit company to put a roof on your house and be late doing it go with el dorado truss co. read more
