Moog is small, literally underground, and the electronic music you'll find here is genuine. Not the commercial nonsense typical of a big, touristy venue. Bring earplugs or cotton for your, the bass is heavy. Some of the best dance nights out I've had have been in tiny spots like Moog. It's dark as he'll on the dance floor too. I subtracted 1 star for the smoke machine. That stuff is not needed and it's a little irritating to the senses. Other than that, I am a fan of this spot. We found it by accident and I'm glad we did!

Locals and tourists alike flock to get down to the international acts in this underground establishment. Upon walking up to the place on an undisclosed Barcelona narrow street I was greeted with echos of bass in the distance. If you are looking for a loud, bass heavy night of underground/worldwide music, make the off the beaten path treck here and enjoy a long night and see what Barcelona has to offer!

Very trippy and they were on the ENTIRE TIME. You will understand what I mean when you go. I was mostly sober and it made it feel as if I was drunk, almost nauseous. The music was so so this night. I was hoping for more spanish music, but for some reason they play a lot of american early 2000s hits. I thought Europeans love edm and honestly would have preferred that. Also a lot of shoving. Other guests are rude and will push their way at your expense. I was able to get drinks early but other girls in my group says the female bartenders were sexist and gave gave more attention and preference to male guests first. Obvious reasons.

I had bought a jacket just hours before getting in the club. I had checked it in the "VIP" coat check. I didn't realize until the morning that it had been shredded. When I contacted them, I did not get any helpful response from them about what had happened just hours before. Again, going as an attendee is fine but do not get VIP. If they treat VIP coatcheck like this, I'm nervous how they treat the coatcheck for the public! In regards to the club itself, we could not find the other rooms. We tried asking the staff in the VIP room, but they weren't that helpful so we just danced in the main floor.

Our tattoo artist recommended Antilla on Wednesday nights because that's 'Salsa night'. We went the next day but we could not keep up! Information You Should Know: - Yes, Wednesday nights are Salsa nights. Maybe a little Bachata. - It was free to get in but there's a catch... you're given a beverage ticket requiring you to purchase a drink at the bar and ONLY then can you leave. So, you get a piece of paper at the door, hand it to the bartender, pay for your drink, and get new piece of paper allowing you to leave whenever you want. I honestly love this concept! You get something in return instead of just paying a cover like you do in the US. - So You Think You Can Dance? I thought I could but once I saw the level of skill on the dance floor I moved and stayed sipping my Gin and Tonic. It was very intimidating! But it was a lot of fun watching others effortlessly dance all around. - Friendly towards tourists- We were a group of 4 and clearly not locals but we felt so comfortable being here! No one looked at us differently or treated us any differently. Overall, if you are a good dancer then you will love this place. If you're a beginner like me then maybe not so much. Hope this review helps!

Make sure you apply an extra coat of deodorant before heading over though because this place is hot...uncomfortably so...by the end of the night I felt like I could skip my workout the next day because I had sweat so much at Sotavento. It's also really cool how the exit for this club lets out onto the beach. A lot of people hang out there and you can still hear the music. It's definitely worth checking out and a great way to escape the heat.

Oh... my... goodness!…read more I had some trepidation about coming here for our traditional Christmas day repas, because of this place's mediocre rating (3.2 stars as of last night). That said, the vast majority of their Yelp ratings refer to their Disco that starts up in the evening... but we were there for a special Christmas menu in the early afternoon. We got there about 1:30 and were greeted by a staff member (at street level) that radioed the restaurant (at beach level) that we'd arrived. We were greeted by the maitre'd who seated us alongside a window with an unobstructed view of the beach in the foreground and the Mediterranean behind that. We'd pre-ordered the special "Menu Nadal," (Christmas menu). For the starter, my wife had the cannelloni with shredded chicken and mushrooms (with pine nuts, arugula and parmesan) and I had the traditional Catalan stew with a rich assortment of meats, vegetables, pasta shells and an amazing broth. Both plates were absolutely outstanding. Our second main course was roasted sea bass (with potatoes and zucchini, a prawn and an amazing sauce). The folks at the next table had the beef confit, which they swore was as good as it gets. The meal was accompanied by a bottle of a very tasty rioja, and topped off with a scrumptious dessert... apple strudel with a vanilla sauce and a scoop of really good pistachio ice cream. ...followed by a second dessert of assorted turrones and wafers. Oh, and a really nice coffee to top it off. Oh, and a "chupito" at the end. My wife went for the Baileys, and I had a very nice Limoncello. In all, we were there for a good 2.5 hours. In all that time, the wait staff was very attentive but not at all obtrusive. Their comportment made me think they were all co-owners whose very livelihood depended upon how WE were treated. I mean, really... these guys made our meal into a truly extraordinary experience. I can't speak about their disco at night but this experience was absolutely FIVE STAR. Way to go! We'll be back!
