Delicious as heck margaritas aside, came in here with a large group about an hour from closing time, and the servers not a single time made us feel rushed and were excellent with my group of six. Chips and salsa flowing on the regular, I loved the menu options. Truly something for everyone. I got the chicken enchiladas and taco combo and it was quite good. I really loved the red sauce, it was super tasty and paired perfectly with the meaty bits of chicken. Always my staple go to for Mexican food. Excellent every time. The queso dip is insanely delicious, no other queso compares.

All the good was good but ordered a fajita burrito with no onions and tomatoes we received it with jalapeños. And jalapeños don't come with it It was so hot that you couldn't eat it and we didn't ask for jalapeños so if you ordered to go make sure that you get the right stuff. Ordered takeout from these guys today on our way through Bridgewater. I accidentally ordered three carnitas tacos in addition to the enchilada-taco combo and chicken avocado salad we got for lunch. But I am not sorry because even though it was a big lunch, the food was so good! The chicken tamal was juicy and excellent. Highly recommend the chicken avocado salad. This might be the best Mexican in town, but I don't gather there is much competition. Chips were fine. Salsa tasted like canned tomatoes with a bit of heat (not spicy). I had a couple bites - not impressed. I had the Special La Casa which was two steak tip burritos covered in cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was solid. The steak tips had a pot roast flavor. With a few shakes of hot sauce, it wasn't bad. Service was a bit slow. Tea stayed empty and took a while to get the check. Receipt did not reflect menu prices. They tried to charge me almost 5 dollars to REPLACE red sauce with queso, they also tacked on a few dollars to my cheese jalapeños. When I paid they told me 44, when I received the receipt it said 49. When I asked them about it they were incredibly rude nor could they explain why they talked on 5+ dollars to my order. They said if it "was really THAT BIG OF A DEAL to you mama well give you your money back". Then refused to put it back on my card and gave me every cent exactly just to make sure not to give me "too much" back. They didn't hand me the money they tossed it on the counter and gave me a side eye. They had us wait at the drive through after sending us a text that the food was ready, we waited five whole minutes and they weren't helping us so we knocked at the window. They then opened the window after we knocked (just once) and said OH MY GOD HOLD ON WE HAVE OTHER CUSTOMER WAIT and slammed the window in my face. To top it all off, they didn't even give me the drinks I ordered so all and all, they tried to take about 10 dollars from me. read more

Oh my God, I absolutely adored this place! The food was so good and it was relatively cheap, I definitely was not disappointed at the end of the day and I was completely stuffed. For the price you get a really good amount of food and the staff is just the absolute nicest. We were at the Green Valley Book Fair and needed to grab lunch. Yelp led me to this place. Usually I think the Yelpers who turn me on to great, new places, but in this case I am going to ask: Have you ever eaten really good Mexican food? The place smelled so strongly of disinfectant that my nose was burning. So...the bathrooms and dining area were really clean, so I guess that's cool. The salsa tasted like canned tomato soup. I ordered the lunch special with chile relleno, taco and guacamole salad. What arrived was the world's smallest smidgen of chile relleno (like they lopped off the tip of a larger chile relleno) which was swimming in cheese. The taco was okay, but nothing I couldn't make for myself at home. The best thing we ordered was the huevos w/chorizo. That looked a bit appetizing. My 9 y.o. ordered a taco and a burrito from the kids' menu. He thought it was great, but he's nine and thinks that ketchup mixed with meat is gourmet. I guess if you're a college student who wants cheap food, served quickly, this is the place for you. If you're out for a leisurely lunch and are looking for some great food, you may want to rethink your decision to stop in here. read more

Looking for a lunch place during a recent trip to the Harrisburg area to hit some wineries, and came across El Charro. Seemed like one of your standard Mexican restaurants that take over a location after some other restaurant has gone out of business. Nothing flashy or fancy about the place, but the food was good. Had the huevos rancheros, and my wife had shrimp tacos. But were very good and seemed fresh. Standard chips N salsa was also pretty good. No problems with the service, and the prices were good. El Charro is Wonderful restaurant , it can draw a crowd any day of the week. When you walk in the aroma of mexican food hits you, and when it does your mouth starts to water. The looks of El Charro is unusual , but fits the style of the food. When you walk in the restaurant is kind of crowded but nice. The inside looks just like the outside does. I will say it is clean for being a popular restaurant in Bridgewater.Also, the bathrooms are clean, floor isn't greasy or sticky, and the tables are clean when you sit down. The seats are clean and they aren't sticky like some places. This is an overall nice looking place and a clean place. At El Charros, the staff and service is amazing. The staff there are so nice and friendly, they care if something is wrong or if you have a question on something. Another thing is the service is really good. They bring you chips when you sit down and they get you your food fast. When you order your food, like 10 or 15 minutes later you get your food and sometimes it doesn't even take that long. They usually get your food right, but sometimes if it is a big group they can mess it up and it can take longer. Other than that, the service and staff are great. The food there is so amazing that it is breathtaking. Also, it looks good to eat and it doesn't look like they made food off the street. I also love the menu because if you don't like mexican food, you can order hot dogs,fries etc. Another thing the " kids menu" isn't just for kids, it is for everybody. When you order, they make it fast, and the food always comes out hot, unless you are in a big group and then it is usually hot but some stuff get just warm not hot. Some food comes on a hot plate, and it sizzles and pops coming out. Now let's talk about the price, it can be a little pricey sometimes. When I go there I get shrimp, rice, cheese, and veggies, and it is around $19 to $20 bucks. On the other , some stuff has a reasonable price, like the nachos they are like $16. Overall, the price is reasonable, so that is why my family goes there a lot. Now you know why you need to go to El Charro, to get amazing food and amazing service. Decided to check this place out on our trip back to Atlanta, Ga because the reviews were so good. Glad we ignored the fact that it was 4 miles off the interstate. The food was fantastic! It was well worth going a little out of the way. I had the chic-pollo. Huge portion of chicken and chorizo with rice beans and tortillas. Guacamole dip was also very good. Salsa is good, not super spicy which I prefer. Kids meals were good sizes for good prices. All food was moderately priced. Tax is a little over 11% so keep that in mind when ordering. read more

Don't let the fast food looking building fool you. This is decent food! I had the chori queso. It had a wonderful flavor but a bit thin even after it cooled (is it supposed to stay thin?). I ordered the Mexican Parrillada (grilled beef, chicken, mushrooms, Mexican sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes and onions served steaming on a cast iron skillet plate. Awesome flavoring and the meat was tender. It was served with Spanish rice, refried beans and tortillas. The tortillas were nice and warm, and I could keep them in foil to keep them warm. The staff was very friendly and on the ball. Tip: You pay your bill up front. Don't wait for the server to pick it up like I did. Every time that we go here the food is awesome and the service is great. We never have to wait very long to get our food, and it's always delicious. The prices are very fair as well. The last time that we stopped in for dinner, we had something come up just before our food arrived that meant we had to go right away;they quickly packed our meals into to go boxes for us and were very helpful and understanding. We've tried the tacos, the enchiladas, the fajitas, the quesadillas, the chimichangas and the fajita nachos platter and it has all been amazing. This place was pathetic! The been sand cheese dip was watered down The peco was just a bowl of big onion chunks with tomatoes on top. After The second refill of pop they charge you 1.00.
