5 STARS - THE COOLEST LIBRARY IN TOWN! It May Be The Only One In town but it is definitely worth a visit. Air conditioned and modernized! Winning. I had an event in El Centro not connected to the library. I also had a meeting. To avoid having a meeting in my car, I went to the El Centro Library. This library is next level cool! It's sleek, modern, and full of awesome gems--individual study nooks with its own charging hook ups, study rooms, open space layout, including outdoor seating. It may be silly to express but the vibe is relaxed, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Mission Valley library in San Diego is tensed for no reason. And you have to watch & side eye nearby patrons. I reserved the study room for 2 hours. It was fully equipped! Television, whiteboard w/markers, sanitizer and ample outlets including USB's. The best feature is its accessibility features. From bathrooms to tables to door handles, if you have mobility challenges you'll do fine here. The doors won't slam on you, you can reach the sinks, desk clerk and computers without strain. Respectfully El Centro Library is lovely Please visit your libraries. This new library has some pretty good workspaces to choose from. From desks to privacy pods they have options to get your work done. The building is kept clean and in good shape. During the hot summer months it's a great place to get your work done in air conditioning. read more

A very calm and quiet place to study and read. Many options of books from any genre. Chairs are incredibly comfortable and many available ones. They seem to have Spanish classes for kids. read more

This is a lovely library!! They have great coves for lap top working, tables for group work, and general computer tables. In addition when I spied the shelves they had a great selection of books, non-fiction, biographies, fiction and all the things you would expect. They do have copier service if you need it also. I found it a lovely place to spend part of my day. I did bring ear plugs. I found there to be a super active young child in the library, and they were finding their voice. The library is nice with a lot of amenities. I like that they have the colored prints. The AC works nice. I have accepted that when using the men's room you may run into someone bathing themselves at the sink. I am able to complete my tasks; homework, reading, using the internet, but the down-fall is the noise. Many people have no sense on library decorum / etiquette. With cell phones ringing, load conversations, group discussions out of control, and when mentioning it to a staff member, "ah well, that's the way it is here." May be worth the 2 mile drive north where there is control and peace. 2 centavos read more
