A small but well chosen beer list pairs well with great apps and burgers. The Garbage Burger was particularly impressive. The star of the show, completely unexpectedly for us, was the cheesecake. I think my wife would make a special trip back to Benedict just for the cheesecake.

Traveling on a road trip we were passing through Osceola, Nebraska around lunch time and happened…read moreupon Terry's Drive-In. Always game for a local spot, we were pulled in by the nostalgic signage and pick up trucks parked outside. We "masked" up for entry and were the only customers observing COVID-19 restrictions. A plexiglass barrier was in place at the ordering counter and the young lady who took our order was wearing a mask. No public restrooms were available. We took our order "to go" and went across the road to the city park. Rest rooms and ample sunshine and social spacing were available. i ordered a pork tenderloin and my husband stuck with his traditional cheeseburger. Both were priced at $4.25 and we shared a side of onion rings ($3ish). The sandwiches were wrapped in foil and were still freshly warm when we unwrapped them at the park. We should have asked for condiments and napkins, as they were not included in our take out bag. Both sandwiches were prepared well, as expected, and we were satisfied with our order. Broasted chicken seems to be the specialty and is available after 5 and all day Sunday according to the posted menu. Ice cream treats are also available but this chicken didn't cross the road to sample. All-in-all Terry's and the Osceola city park were a nice stop along our Saturday road trip.

After eating here since they opened, I am disappointed by a recent visit this week. My family and I…read morewere impressed by renovations, as we hadn't been in awhile. Our waiter showed us to a large table and left, returning shortly with menus. It was an incredibly long time before he returned to even take a drink order. My sister ordered a daiquiri, and I was laughed at by the waiter when I ordered one as well. Not sure why this happened- I am over ten years older than she is and cant figure out how it could've been funny. While taking our order, our waiter acted like we were a bother, although the restaurant wasn't full by any means. He didn't even look at us as we were ordering. We had a nice experience with the food- over the years, the food has always been great, although I was disappointed when 2 of the dishes I ordered for my kids was incorrect. I asked my group if I'd said the right dish when ordering and they confirmed that I had. Made us feel like the waiter didn't care about our experience. He didn't return to check on our dishes or ask if we needed anything else throughout the rest of the meal. The gentlemen bussing tables did come by and refresh our chips for salsa and seemed very friendly, so that was much appreciated. Overall, we were there to celebrate a birthday and enjoy our experience, but were disappointed after visiting many times over the years. My family and I will not be back in the near future.
