We went on a tour of the island during our cruise and one of the stops was to here to stretch our legs and grab a drink and food. There is a little walkway to a nice little photo area that would have some amazing views of the water behind you. The staff that was there was also insanely friendly and very heavy handed with the drinks they made. We got something call coco-loco which was a cut open coconut filled to the brim with rum and other mixers. It was insanely refreshing! There is a nice covered area to sit and get some tacos or other food but we didn't need to eat so we watched other people while they did. The food smelled heavenly while it passed out and looked equally as amazing. I will be coming back her again if I ever am in Cozumel again for sure!

Pricey! I booked the camel riding experience with a separate vendor (see my review for Maroma…read moreAdventures) and got admission to Maroma Beach. It's a little over an hour from mid hotel zone Cancun. At the entrance were signs stating daily admission was $120US. Cameras, cell phone photography is forbidden. When you enter, you queue up at desks and are wrist banded for your activity (me, camels for $164) and you can spend the day on the property. BUT literally everything there has a fee and workers ask for tips. Beach chairs were a fee. (I think chairs were included with the camels). Towels were a fee. Bali beds were a few. Paddle boards were supposedly included, but, didn't see any. The beach was huge and super clean & inviting. Sadly on my visit, winds were gusting in the 30mph range & sand was blowing, so I wasn't going to spend time lounging. The restrooms had an attendant continuously cleaning & were abundant & very clean. At first, I thought this would be a great destination for a day, but with all the additional fees and constant reminders to tip for literally everything, I would not recommend unless you are prepared to drop serious money. My visit, with the camel ride, was in excess of $309US.

I contacted customer service who offered to either have a cab pick me up and drop me off on their bill or I wait two hours for the next scheduled tour time. I opted for the latter. The staff were all friendly and polite. No mask required. The camel back excursion was fanatic !! What an experience riding on the beach. The guides were so gentle with the animals!!! I used my ten dollars voucher to go towards a lunch at the on site restaurant which was delicious. I had fajitas! Everything was smooth. I traveled solo but this place is for everyone !!!

I'm seven months pregnant and we have an 18 month old and I appreciated how accommodating both Gilmer and Manny were! Gilmer and Manny made sure to capture our experience so we could focus on the moment and sent us all the photos. Gilmer made sure to point out any creatures and give us insight. Manny & crew were able to help us snag 5 mahi mahi and the last one was a massive 60 pound male! Just incredible. On top of that they took us to a local restaurant to cook up our fresh fish. If we're not too tuckered out we may have to book another trip as I know it will be worth while. Great prices for life lasting memories, thanks again guys for being so awesome.

We were provided with everything we needed, except for the towels, and they have some fun wicking towels for sale if you need them or want a cool souvenir. Extra info: Life jackets are required and provided, but if you don't fit a standard size XL life jacket you may want to bring your own. There's not a ton of walking but you will be on a lot of uneven natural surfaces. I recommend swim shoes with grip as the bottom of the cenotes is very rocky, and flip flops are easy to lose balance on on the stairs.

Our guide Marcos (we requested since we had him on our 1st tour) is always friendly, outgoing, helpful and full of knowledge. We love how personalized this tour was, it was only me and my beautiful wife, along with Marcos and Don Phil. We stared the day with Don Phil, a Mayan, who performed a cleansing ritual to protect us on our travels. Though I couldn't understand the Mayan language I could feel the message and positive energy. We not only asked for protection in our travels but he renewed our vows as we were celebrating 18 years of marriage. Super cool and thankful for the honoring of native traditions and including us in blessings. Exploring amazing cavern cenotes in a closed system with stalagmites and stalactites everywhere, with varying sizes and types is a spectacular experience. Marcos is able to share so much detailed information and history, incorporating a focus on preservation and respect of the natural treasures. We toured 3 different cenotes, got amazing photos, and ended the day with a killer, authentic, home cooked meal (chicken en mole and beef chile relleno). It's $16 USD per person, and on a Monday in January it wasn't very crowded. We skipped the ecotour and the lighthouse and went to the end of the park where the beaches are. We found a beautiful beachclub, nearly deserted and with amazing food and reasonable prices. It even had giant beach pillows to lay out on. There were some restaurants a little further on but they weren't nearly as good and the beach chairs were old and gnarly. They had no electric so no frozen drinks... and the prices were very high. If you do go, be choosy about which restaurant you go to- they are all unmarked little bungalow style establishments with hammock seats at the bar. The one we went to closest to the parking lot on the right and the food wasn't good, and drinks were on the rocks only. I highly recommend going to the beach club instead. The beach was beautiful and clean, the water was warm and clear. We will definitely return!
