IF YOU WANT MEXICAN FOOD, head to El Burito, or go somewhere else! It's obvious there are no real cooks in the back with any pride in these dishes. The beans are canned, the sauces are canned - pretty much everything is CANNED to plate. There is zero seasoning on the beef, chicken. The servers just stare at you when you walk into what seems to be a dungeon with no welcoming atmosphere. Either you get stared at the by servers for long enough, or the bar tender will huff and puff and walk all the way around, or some of the military families just spacing out on you will stare until you manage to find your way to a table or back to your car. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT EAT ANYTHING HERE. I hope all the best for them in their future endeavors, but this is not it. The best thing that could happen here is if they'd shut their doors and close down. The front desk worker added a tip herself to my carry out order. My wife ordered carry out online and we selected no tip as it's just a carry out order. I went to pick it up gave the front desk lady the name on the order (we prepaid online). She printed out the receipt turning her back to me to staple the receipt and looked like she wrote on it to. But I just ignored that, she went and grabbed the food and I left. Looking at my bank account a few hours later now there is the charge for food for the amount we ordered and paid for and an additional charge for $2. I know it's not much but it's the principle of it. I checked our bag to and we have only the itemized receipt with the order not the one with prices on it so I can't even check to see if it was added to the receipt after. read more

Had an early dinner here around 430pm. I was not crowed at all. Service was great. The tacos were really good. The Carne Asada was okay. It was not seasoned at all, had it been, it would have made a big difference. Refried beans were a little too thick for me, almost dried out. The atmosphere is open and really nice. Very clean. my husband and I had a chance to get away for some dinner and decided to swing by El Cazador since we go here a lot and know that they are open until nine on Sundays. We walk in and one of the waitresses just stands there and stares at me with a weird look. So to start the conversation I asked her if they're still open, she tells me no then asked me if I want takeout. it was 7:57pm and the door says they close at 9 o'clock and online it says 9 o'clock. I guess they don't want money that bad. The open sign was still flashing as well, indicating that they were open. read more

Super bummed because it's so close to the house :( The black beans tasted moldy almost, there was so much salt poured on everything instead of actually seasoning, chips tasted rancid as far as the food goes. This restaurant has just opened and we were extremely disappointed. It was a staggering one thing after another. 1st the waitress brought us salsa that tasted like canned tomato sauce with chips. She asked for our drink order. We got two waters and an Arnold palmer. That took 15min to arrive at the table and then she walked off. 10min later she returned and asked were we ready to order we said yes. 2 orders of pork with tortillas and a fajita mix. 20min later 2x chicken tortilla plates arrived with a fajita mix with no sizzling sound. The fajita meat was lukewarm. Luckily the manager delivered the wrong order and went to the kitchen to fix it. For the price and a new place we expected better. My family and I can say we gave it a chance, but it is one and done for us with this place. read more

As much I would like to give 5 stars to a Mexican restaurant owned and operated by Latinos, I can't. I have been living in the US for more than 20 years, traveling to MX constantly and married to a Mex restaurant owner. Our food experience was not pleasant. You know you're in a good Mexican restaurant as soon as you taste the table salsa. The salsa was tasteless, the house Margarita tasted like a kids lemonade and the chips had no salt at all. My mom ordered a chile relleno since we are very used to making it at home as our Mexican friends and family taught us. The chile relleno was something I've never seen in my life or anywhere in MX. We all know that chile rellenos is exactly that "rellenos". This one was an open anaheim pepper (not a poblano pepper) with ground beef on top and no cheese. We thought they had made a mistake but we confirmed with the waitress that this is how they prepare it. Well no way, we will eat that. When asking for the bill we realize that there is an additional 4% convenience charge for paying with a credit or debit card. In other words, for paying with a card you get penalized. Since when do people pay with cash? Today's dinner was very disappointing, especially when you bring in guests. Placed an order at 5:54pm on a Fri night, stated delivery would be around 7:30, sounds fair. After my delivery time goes by, I contact the restaurant to check on the status of my order as my family is growing impatient. The lady that answered the phone stated "oh we cancelled your order because we don't have any delivery drivers, you should have an email" Well, I don't have an email that says my order has been cancelled and why didn't you call me to see if I wanted to change it to pick up? Worst service! Went in for lunch. I ordered the lunch fajita. First, the server missed taking the order of one of our ladies. Then my food never arrived. We asked and she brought it out 5 minutes later. When I checked out, they charged me for the full dinner fajita. They said that's what they brought me. Decided to dine in at El Cazador last night for the first time. We started off with chips, salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. The guacamole lacked flavor and the queso cheese dip had great flavor but was exceptionally watery and thin. We waited a while for our dinner given that the restaurant was not very full. For dinner, I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla mix which was very good and my husband ordered the California burrito which is always a favorite of his when we eat Mexican food. The steak in his burrito was so tough we had trouble cutting it with a knife. Service was a little slow but our waitress was very pleasant and kind. We wanted some fried ice cream but they were out of ice cream. Will definitely return but will not be ordering the guacamole or the California burrito. read more

Tried this location because the Fayetteville one is amazing. We went for dinner at 4:30 and there was only one other table there. Food was great. I was nervous after reading the reviews. Our waitress was lovely. The only complaint would be it was a little slow. I'm glad we came before dinner because the restaurant did fill with people. Tried this place two times. The spicy salsa that comes out with he chips is much better than the mild one. The burrito enchilada style is fairly big. I had the fajitas. They were just ok. I'm used to fajitas coming out steaming on the iron skillet. These did not come out that way. We were seated right away. It does take a while to get your food and drink once ordered. The chicken tortilla soup is pretty good. The rest of the food is just ok. They do need to work on their service a little bit. They just opened at this location so I'm willing to give them another chance. read more

My experience wasn't great, and it didn't help that it started before I even I got to the restaurant. I called ahead to pick up, no answer. Strange because I looked online and also drove by eventually and the hours on the door stated they didn't close for another hour. So I came back during the day, ate in, server was nice she was able get my appetizer order in quickly. She took a unusual amount of time to get back to take the rest of my order. After I finished my appetizer I just looked over the menu again for a while, she finally came back to take my order, felt like a long time. I got about halfway done with my meal before going to the bathroom. I was gone about 8 minutes, I came back to my table and it was completely clean. Just... wow. She did not seem surprised or bothered at all. It appears this is a regular occurrence. The food was horrible. Asada burrito was mainly beans no steak. Chorizo tacos were dripping with grease with a bad odor. The torta was extremely small. Again barely no steak. It was a bean and lettuce torta. The soda was extremely watered down. Typically grab pick up from here. But this joints pretty good when you eat in! Good comes out accurate and with well presentation. Margaritas are strong and cold. The only down side is when they serve you the salsa and chips it's a Russian roulette of spicy or non spicy. The quesadillas are the Jam. Chimichangas are fried to perfection. Then you have the carne asada burrito. Huge. Packed full. And you'll be home sleeping like a baby a half an hour later. They do not disappoint. read more
