Arrived on Saturday evening without a reservation and we were seated immediately. We had the chicken fajitas, beef chimichangas, chicken and mushroom quesadillas, and shrimp burrito. All of the food was tasty. Nicely decorated with an abundance of unique Mexican themed artwork. Prices are very reasonable. We will re-visit when back in the area. Highly recommend. read more

Highly recommend! LOVED the chicken tacos and my friend enjoyed their flautas. The queso had a good consistency (not watery) and they also have a yummy spicy house salsa (if you ask for it) in the back! Particularly enjoyed their beans as well. I'll be back! read more

Giving a five star review to offset some of the 1 star reviews that I believe is an unfair rating. With that being said this is a great Mexican restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff. GREAT prices comparatively. I mean, $10 fajitas on Thursday? Come on! Fajitas were seasoned well and had great flavor. Refried beans were great. Cheese dip is very good. Only thing IMHO that lacked was the salsa. Needed a little bit more salt (easy fix) and I would love cilantro in it but that's just preference. Booths were nice, bathroom was clean. Nice decorations. Loved it and will be back. Quit leaving 1 star reviews bc you had a semi-bad experience with service ONE time. Get a grip folks. read more

We stopped by tonight driving through town. I am not sure why this place only has any bad reviews. First the food was delicious. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious, portions were great and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere was great. Lastly, the service was above and beyond. It has been a long time since I could say we have had service that good anywhere. I came here on the review of many others, fully open for a positive experience. I mean every Tuesday they have $1.00 tacos. What an awesome deal!! As I walked in it was dirty, but that doesn't bother me much. We get to the booth and there is old food crusted to the side of it. It's something that can be fixed. We get a rag and it gets cleaned up. Problem #2 fixed. Half of my food comes out and the remaining people of my table go without for the next 20 minutes. I went to the kitchen after being there for over an hour and find out they haven't started our food so I told them not to worry about it. The kitchen was more about getting pick up orders than the guest inside. The table next to us was there long before us and they still had not received their food. I paid for the drinks and we left. I hate writing bad reviews but the staff needs some work at this place. If there is a next time, I'm hoping the next showing is better. read more

This is the only Mexican restaurant my wife and I go to in Moore County. They have great food and the best prices. You can't beat their taco Tuesday special and their drinks are also priced well. It's locally owned and you will see the owner regularly taking orders and greeting customers. Highly recommended! read more

We came to Carthage to shop in antique stores. Since it was lunch time, decided to eat first. It was a bit challenging to find a restaurant. We came across this place and thought why not? It was clean and the staff was friendly! The prices are so reasonable! They brought us chips and salsa which is standard at a Mexican place. Nothing standard about the chips and salsa! Some of the best I've had for something so basic! Chips were warm, right thickness and perfect amount of salt. The salsa was delicious and flavorful with some heat but not overpowering. I ordered meat trio fajitas. Omg! Moist, wonderfully grilled with amazing seasoning! It was perfectly balanced! Even if I wasn't shopping, I'd come back to eat here! The people were nice, the restaurant was clean but the food had zero flavor. Chili relleno was a chili with cheese on it with tomato sauce. No flavor, no spice just greasy bland sauce. Lots of food for your money but again, no flavor. My partner had chicken quesadilla and it had boiled chicken in it without any seasoning. YUCK. Driving by and kept seeing a full parking lot so tried it out. Delicious authentic food including real deal tamales. Huge selection of anything you want plus the staff and kitchen will let you customize whatever you want. Fast and fun service from hardworking staff. We don't usually order alcohol but tried a margarita and it was perfect. We have returned many times for Taco Tuesday and Fajita Thursday. The steak ranchero was unseasoned near with a bland, greasy red sauce. No spice. No flavor. Asked for sour cream 4 times before it arrived.
