My go-to is their Fajita Mexicana which has chorizo, beef and chicken, and I smother it with their tomatillo sauce Don't forget a side of their queso to dip your tortilla chips in as well! Cockroaches! Came in on Thursday to eat with my family, my youngest son spots a cockroach in the wall right next to us. Told the server, we moved to another table. The night goes on, we see 2 more, I get the waiter, show him exactly where they are, and a oh sorry about that, almost as if it was normal. Yall need to be inspected, and clean y'all's location. Roaches right next to customers, and next to where yall keep your utensils to pass out to folks? One of my favorite Mexican restaurants to dine in Clarksville. Service is always great. The complimentary salsa & chips are the best and always fresh & crispy. Had the best dining in experiences at this restaurant with different people. We always sit at a booth. The pear margaritas are delicious and in a generous amount. Everything I have ordered in this restaurant has been amazing. Service is always good. I had a simple meat, rice, & cheese dish with a margarita last time I went here, and it was delicious. My hubcap had a chicken, mushroom, cheese, and spinach quesadilla and it was tasty. We are definitely coming back there again. The perfect place to go after seeing a movie, since it is by the Regal movie theater. read more

This place came recommended by a friend, as myself and my family stayed overnight in Clarksville. We ordered tacos de Carne asada, two standalone chicken tacos for my daughter, and another side dish. Overall, the food seemed good and portions were good size. The issue we had was with the two tacos that I ordered for my daughter. Both were shredded chicken, on corn tortilla, and only lettuce. No cheese. She had a reaction almost immediately as she started to eat her chicken taco. She's anaphylactic to anything dairy. I checked the tacos before she ate them as I do all the time, and nothing stood out. No random pieces of cheese, etc. Due to this problem, my daughter ended up having to use her EpiPen. When calling the restaurant to ask. I was told that they do not cook their meat with any type of dairy products, and that their tortillas does not have anything like that in them. It's hard to believe as it was an almost immediate reaction. So definitely some cross contamination or perhaps the restaurant is just not being honest about how they cook their food. Also, no refund or accommodations were given due to this issue, which was disappointing. Needless to say, we will most likely not go back when we are around the Clarksville area. Also, I wanted to make this review in case anyone else with food allergies or have kids with allergies are thinking about this as a place to grab something to eat. Just be aware. read more

Went there today for lunch with my daughter and grandson. We ordered cheese dip that never came and also a side of beans that they tried to give us when we were ready for the check. Yes, the service was not good, but even worse was the food. My daughter ordered two enchiladas with beans, and I had the taco and enchilada lunch combo. I think they pinched my taco from Taco Bell across the street. A broken shell that was pre-made and was no longer crisp. The sad thing is that it was the best thing on my plate. The beans were watery with an orange tint to them. I shared them with my 9 month old grandson. Thank God for diapers because he has had explosive diarrhea from them. As for myself, I have been sprinting to the bathroom with the same allotments. This is not authentic Mexican food. It lacks flavor and only gives you a surprise on the backside. We had dinner here for the first time since moving to Clarksville. We got a table right away. The waiter brought over some complimentary chips and salsa and took our drink order. The margaritas were quite potent and a nice size. We decided to order an appetizer too. Queso and chips. The queso had chorizo in it. It was really flavorful. We didn't have to wait long for our entrees after we placed our order. Only complaint was that the burrito hardly had any beef tips in it. It was basically a bean burrito. The portions are quite big in my opinion. And the prices are very reasonable. Ingredients all seemed to be fresh. We all shared a flan. It was very sweet and rich. We definitely will return to eat here. But we will probably order less food next time since the portions are so big. read more

We have been going to El Bracero for many years. (even before they moved to the larger location where they are now) Our last visit was on this past Thursday. It really will be our last visit. They have been going downhill for a while now. It's really hard to mess up Mexican food but this place somehow managed to do so. We will find a New Mexican restaurant soon. Higher prices are understandable but bad food and no lunch specials will not be tolerated. Enough! We will find another Mexican restaurant that will appreciate our business. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner! It was great! Friendly waitress, chips and salsa were really good, and a great atmosphere. The service was prompt and waitress came around the right amount of times and frequencies. I had a combo plate small Chimichanga and hard taco plate that came with beans and rice. This post is solely based on our short experience. We immediately was seated after walking in and it took the waiter maybe 6 minutes before starting with our drink order. In the meantime while reviewing the menu which is massive the waiter brought us out some chips and salsa. Now I've been to many Mexican restaurants and never seen white and green tortillas chips unless they are out of the bag. My husband proceeded to dip a chip in the salsa and the salsa was frozen!!! Guys no lie I wish I had the opportunity to take a picture but we immediately left because we didn't want to ruin our dinner. We will not return and I understand why the poor reviews for this place. The exterior is beautiful but the team has to work on their presentation of food. read more

I always seem to come here on a Friday or Saturday night when it's so busy! Their parking lot is so small I can never find a parking spot, always have to park in the movie theater parking lot which isn't a huge deal. Although they seem super busy and packed my husband and I got a table within 15 minutes of arriving. The complimentary chips and salsa are good their cheese queso is simple. I order a pick two with an empanada which was soft for something that was fried. The other item was a taco which was good. Our service was good considering their place was full. Overall pretty good experience and food was almost all good. I would come back in the future to get my Mexican fix. read more

Definitely a great place for taco Tuesday (99 cent tacos). However, don't expect your traditional Mexican street tacos, they're more like Taco Bell's hard shell (corn) and and soft (flour) tacos, which are still pretty yummy. Aside from taco Tuesday the restaurant is OK. Definitely not my favorite Mexican restaurant (I'm from Southern California, so literally nothing compares to the authentic Mexican food I grew up with), but they give good portions and have great prices! They have other locations nearby (Hopkinsville, KY and Clarksville, TN) but those locations DO NOT offer taco Tuesday, so we drive to Cadiz, KY just for it. read more

Nothing to write home about. It's just ok. The steak street taco had no taste but it was cooked well. The ceviche is more like a fish salsa how everything is diced so tiny and the waiters move around like little roaches rushing around with the music so quick it's hard to get their attention. Used to Mexican food in Arizona so came in not expecting much. Was impressed with the offering and authenticity. The Chimi was different (not over deep fried), but still above average. The cheese sauce on top was a nice surprise. In AZ they don't smother them with anything other than sour cream, green or red sauce. The beer was cold, but disappointed they were out of Dos Equis. Very tasty Mexican restaurant in Clarksville. They offer a wide variety of menu options. The service is fast and all the servers are kind and attentive. The chips, salsa, and queso are must haves and delicious. We have also enjoyed all our meals thus far. One suggestion, add some soups to the menu. My only critique thus far. Went with a group of friends after seeing a movie at the nearby Regal. There were 10 of us. We were seated shortly after arriving and the waiter was quick to take our drink order and bring them out. He was also prompt in getting our food order. Not sure what happened at that point. Everyone's order except for mine and another was brought out. I didn't have a complicated order. Three shrimp taco's. By the time my order was brought out everyone else had almost finished eating. I ordered take out from here the other night after one of my girlfriends recommended and I was not disappointed! Idk that I would venture as far as saying this is *authentic* Mexican food, but it is delicious. I ordered the Steak Chimichanga. It comes with rice and beans, salad w/ pico de gallo, avocado and sour cream. The favors were absolutely incredible and it hit the spot just like I needed it to. As I was waiting to pay for my order, I saw some really good looking drinks being brought to tables. I'll definitely have to come back for a drink after my pregnancy. read more

I got my haircut right down the street and wasn't in the mood to cook when I got home so I came here for takeout. The menu is pretty big with your basic Mexican dishes in different varieties. I got one of their burritos, the 'El Bracero' burrito with carne asada instead of ground beef. I thought the burrito was all right, the asada wasn't thin or very flavorful. The red sauce was pretty bland, and their salsa was pretty bland as well and there wasn't enough salsa to go with the chips and burrito. The burrito was pretty filling but it was just kind of a warm goop, especially since the rice and beans were mixed in with my food. I think I'll try some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area first. read more

The second order brought out had about 9 nachos or less and was buried under a heap of chopped chicken, steak, chorizo and GREASE. The nachos were on point in taste, but were inedible due to the infinite amount of grease, not to mention that it was more of a meat pile than it was nachos. This place was on the shirt list of "wanna try" since I asked a local FB group og great Mexican places. The wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch and they indeed seated us quickly. Their lunch menu is plentiful. I had the Lunch #1, 1 taco, 1 burrito, and 1 enchilada. I went with Beef. Their sauce over the food is tasty and season good. My wife had the Huevos Divorciados. Her only issue was she is not a hot sauce person and we should've communicated to not put hot sauce over the one side. But, the portions are generous and there was more than enough to fill you up. We will be back here in the future...after we try some other places, since we just moved to this area a month ago. read more

They have a have new prickly pear margarita that's great. This was my first and last visit to el bracero restaurant. Here's why: 1. your staff did not appear to be happy to see me when I arrived, seated me but didn't say much. 2. your ground beef in the taco salad was GREASY, my entire plate was full of grease. I didn't finish the meal. 3. You advertise happy hour, I had to ask for a drink menu, and THERE WERE NO PRICES ON IT. Even the server was no sure why that is, so I skipped the drink. 4. I asked for additional items on my taco salad but the server never told me that would be extra. Service in your restaurant is a joke. NEVER AGAIN. read more
