The appropriate response would been a simple - The kitchen is closed at 11PM and we are happy to have customers until 11:30PM at the bar. Instead of "we are open" - come and be disappointed we don't have any food. A simple - We apologize for giving you the wrong information would have sufficied. It was trying a little too hard to be a casual, by the beach style restaurant, but as a result, only felt overpriced and lacking the personality it needs. Service was not that great. The highlight coming from when we asked for cocktails, and were told that cocktails could not be served at the tables.
