El Berro is located in the Eixample area, an area abundant with colorful flags and many restaurants and shops. It's on the corner, but corners here are slanted....you'll understand if you've been to Barcelona.
It's a Spanish menu, with hamburgers and some other items, very few vegetarian items. There's also a menu of the day. I got 3 tapas for myself, not knowing how much food it can come with. I ordered the patatas bravas, which comes with a side of bread/sauce/olive oil, spanish tortilla, which also came with the bread, and manchego cheese. This was a carb heavy meal, even though i didn't even eat all the bread.
Overall, they were fine...i like the manchego cheese... it's a bit like Parmesan but softer. Everything else was just potatoes prepared differently. Service was pretty good. It's kinda funny that people just come in for a drink, single or group, and then leave. read more
