El Bazaar is a semi-mediterranean restaurant (fallafel wraps and such, as well as crepes, and pies) that is also a hookah (shisha) bar.
Pros:
- They'll make a milkshake out of any of their pie/cake slices
- Huge menu of shisha flavors
- Fruit shisha (the kind where they mount half a pineapple on your pipe)
- Pretty Moroccan interior
- Large outside seating area, covered and with space heaters
- Lots of benches with pillows to lounge around on
Cons:
- Very overpriced shisha
- Worst service I've ever seen anywhere. It will take forever to put in an order, and even long to get your food. Don't be surprised if you sit here for an hour waiting and then still have to ask about your food. And I'm not talking "a bit slow now and then", I mean consistently, every single time.
- They WILL get your order wrong. We've been here five times now, and they have forgotten between one and three of our items every single time. And you cannot get them to acknowledge you, so inevitably one of you will end up sitting there without dinner until it's time to go. You can try to ask the coal boys, but they don't speak English, and won't help you. And if you get a hold of someone and ask them, odds are, your food still won't come out.
- I'm pretty sure the nutella in the nutella crepes is not at all nutella but some cheap, inferior chocolate spread that doesn't taste that good.
We like the shisha and milkshake selection here, and most of the food is alright, but the service has been so consistently abysmal, and we've left hungry so many times after sitting there for close to two hours trying to get food, that we won't be back. read more
